Should they be slowing down or speeding up towards the end of the fiscal year? We only have two months left in it. Have all the visa numbers been used up so far?

Have all the visa numbers been used up so far?

No, i dnt think so. They distribute the total quota in 4 quarters, where in frst month of this last quarter has moved only 15 days, there are two months left to finish up this quarter. Usually, it has been notice that last quarter always performs well as compare to rest of the quarters bcoz they dnt have any other option left and they allocate remaining numbers.

I think July VB wasn't much good for all the categories due to workload in all embassies and consulates over the world. That's why they might moved it slightly, it is hard to believe that they have been given up with quota or something like that.

There will be some good movements seen in future, be optimist and keep faith in it. Best of luck to all of you ;)

These are some fast calculations I made (maybe some numbers are not exactly correct):

Movement this fiscal year so far = 433 days

Quarter 1 = 123 days

Quarter 2 = 153 days

Quarter 3 = 141 days

Quarter 4 (in progress) = 16 days

Now what do I make of that? The movement was similar on the first 3 quarters. Not sure what will happen on the fourth one though.

Keep in mind that they tried their best(I hope) to allocate the visas equally among each quarter. By looking at the previous movement, I still have a feeling that it will move more than 2 months in August and September altogether. I think NVC should have the rough ideas how far to move forward the cut-off-dates in each quarter because they should have roughly the numbers of applications who submitted their visa applications before retrogression in their database plus the numbers of unknown applications who didn't submit their applications in time before the retrogression.

"I still have a feeling that it will move more than 2 months in August and September altogether". I meant more than 2 months on the rest of this fiscal year(August and September)

I have read some where in VISA bulletin Page that during ending months (2-3months) of fiscal year may slow down compare to starting and middle months (oct-jun/july). Due to completion of availability VISA numbers... I hope this could be wrong and last quarter will not disappoint us....:-)

Guys..Mumbai Consulate just updated the list for July 2012 Appointments and to our surprise there are 12 F1 applicants. Earlier when they posted the list there were just 4 F1 applicants. Now the number has increased to 12 and New Delhi has also updated its list for July 2012 appointments....there r 8 F1 applicants for New Delhi.

So, there r total 20 F1 applicants ...with just 2 weeks movement for July Visa Bulletin.

This show that there r still many applicants pending with PD's in year 2005. I think August VB would move 2-3 weeks maximum as the Visa Numbers r going to exhaust now at the end of this fiscal.

Actual movement i.e. 1-2 months... we can assume from October 2012 Visa Bulletin...New Fiscal. Before that i dont think it will move even a month for next two months.
