Does anyone else feel as though their life is being put on hold?

I know exactly how you feel!

I'm frustrated with the fact that although I know it's inevitable that a date will come, I want to make plans for what I will do in life (as a career, for example) while there and yet since I don't know when that date is, I can't even make any real plans about anything.

Now that we are somewhat close to being current it's really difficult to make any plans. No career plans, no marriage plans (or else we will become F3s lol), no anything plans. I wish they could at least tell me when my priority date will be current exactly, so I can make plans meanwhile! Now I'm ranting too :hehe:

May_taurus, politicians are known to say anything on election years to earn some votes.

U r correct.....As i said its Election Year in US and they hav to get Votes by promising people that they will do this and that....Earlier Obama also promised but no result past 4 years, so even they want to pass a bill they hav to pass Congress and then only Bill becomes a Law. Its far behind for current time.

But lets concentrate now on Aug VB ...I will go for Sep 01 2005 for Aug.

Well .....i guess they might had alot of backlog with petitions and other stuff...so they moved less. The reason why i am guessing this is bcoz all categories F1, F2B, F3 & F4 except F2A moved equally 2 weeks. This is sumthg that cannot be understood. If any of these categories hav no more Visa Numbers left for this fiscal than it is understandable but equal movement of all categories makes me think there must be a reason why all categories moved equally.

This thing has happened earlier also(I dont remember which month) in this fiscal where our category moved just 4 weeks and then the next month it moved 9 weeks. So one month they move less then in next month they cover that by moving more.....Currently it is 8 July 2005 so i would go for 1 sep 2005 (7 week movement) for F1.

I hope it move more than this but i am guessing based on overall movement of F1 in this Fiscal...Average movement has been is 5-7 weeks.

Hello guys and girls,

how accurate is that source of the person getting an interview for august?

Cast2006 i would ask u to call NVC and ask if they hav scheduled Interview for u or not.....???

According we can know how much will F1 move in Aug VB. Based on Vietnam Forum reviews only 2 week movement can be predicted but that is very less. We can see F2A guys hav started receiving I/Ls and till now more than 1 month movement can be predicted for F2A. I fear will again this month we move just 2-3 weeks..????

F4 guys also hav receivd I/Ls and only 2 weeks movement is there till now.

Man, I need my green card like immediately. I'm really tired of waiting, dammit. Does anyone else feel as though their life is being put on hold? Sorry for ranting, but I know this is the only place where other people would understand what I mean. Not only am I separated from my mother for 6 years now, I feel so trapped living life in a month-by-month cycle of "what's going to happen this month? Will it be closer? Yes? No?" I'm frustrated with the fact that although I know it's inevitable that a date will come, I want to make plans for what I will do in life (as a career, for example) while there and yet since I don't know when that date is, I can't even make any real plans about anything. I have to pretend as though I'm not migrating even though I will be. At least it's fortunate that I can travel there on my tourist visa for now, but it's such a tease. It's like someone dangling something in front of your face but telling you you can't have it now. But 6 years is a long damn time! I'm effing ready. GRRR!!!

I understand this perfectly :(

And it is so so sad! I feel like I'm trapped, at least if I would be able to count down the days.... but even that seems to be impossible....

What is your PD?

well said NevermindVZ, plus; there would not change anything in policies by any president. I asked around about this long await from some solicitors, one of them that has good connection in congress said: as the government policy is to change economy situations, they try to attract investments, the easy and quick way is accept more investment visa. result for us, poor f1: wait wait and more wait..... !!!!!

What is your PD?

It's Oct. 5 2006. My wait is just a bit longer than yours. We just have to try somehow to not go crazy. I think our group has had the longest wait times in the history of the visa bulletin and US immigration. It's funny that we're still called "F1."

Does anyone here also travel with a non-immigrant visa? I'm planning on waiting out the last few months in the US with my family until my interview is ready.

Priority Date: 10/5/2006

Interview Scheduled: 10/1/2013

Medical Completed: 11/4/2013

Interview Completed: 11/18/2013

CEAC Status -- Administrative Processing -- 11/19/2013

CEAC Status -- ISSUED -- 11/19/2013

VISA IN HAND -- 11/21/2013
