Christinejoyce,if your PD is Oct. 2005 then you're already current.

If indeed u're returning to Phil. then it is BEST u fill in yourself as choice of agent. Or as John advised, make sure it's someone that's a resident of the U.S.

Congrats in advance! I think your IL will get to u soon.

It looks like that your case is near the cut-off date and is for further processing now at NVC. Hopefully, once you have elected your choice of agent, NVC will invoice you for AOS (affidavit of support) and IV fee. Then the rest will follow, so i would suggest while waiting for your next letter from the NVC to collect all the required documents that you need to comply and submit to NVC. Most especially, POLICE CLEARANCE (from other country you resided for more than 1 year) - this is the part where I encountered delay...rolleyes.gif

Most likely, things will be okay for you this year...

current VB for F1 (March 2014) is 15 AUG 01. I hope we can see a great movement on all visa category for next month. star_smile.gifsmile.png

You will be needing to have the latest NBI clearance when submitting your IV package to NVC. and if you resided in other country aside from the Philippines (for more than a year after you reached the aged of 16) POLICE CLEARANCE is deemed necessary.

Hi

I have a question with respect to NVC processing.

I have submitted my online forms and the supporting docs were fed exd this week past. When nvc recieves them, should the ceac status tracker be updated to say they are received or that they are processing?

I have a lawyer dealing with it yet she just said she would be in touch when she hears from nvc. I like to obsessively monitor each step. With past experiences with us immigration I am extra anxious now lol.

Cheers,

Lauza8

Hi Lauza8.

CEAC status will still be at NVC when they received your documents. I suggest to call NVC after a few days from the time your send your documents just to confirm that they receive your package. It will take about 30 days to review your documents.

And if everything looks good then your case will be "CASE COMPLETED" and then forward it to your appropriate consulate where your interview will take place. star_smile.gifcontent.gifsmile.png
