Wow Thats pretty fast than usual.. since the PD that is Current in INDIA is 1 Jan 2007 for Feb 2014 for F1 (FB1). Does this mean the PD with jump minimum 4 weeks for march 2014, anyone, any ideas ?

Yes, why the ILs are very important to this group is that it helps us to predict the movement on the upcoming bulletin, in this case March 2014. The PD date of 29-Jan-2007 tells us that the cut-off date is currently 30-Jan-2007. We don't know how much more it's going to move until everyone receives and report back ILs. It could be a 5 weeks movement, but at this point we know. The great news is that cut -off PD is great than 29th Jan, 2007, or else he wouldn't have gotten an interview date.

I hope this helps, if anyone could better explain to him, please by all means go ahead.

Okay G_One, Cassanoa did a very good job in answering your question. What I will add is that from the date given so far the new cut off date will be 1 Feb 2007. If people with priority dates after that date receive their interview letter then it could move further than that. The cut off dates fall on either the 1, 7, 15, 22 of the month. So a priority date of January 29 means that the cut off date as at that time is the 1st of the following month.

Bhuvan, U have come with a great news man. That's unbelievable to see this dead wheel moving ahead of three weeks this time.

This will be the last bulletin of 2nd quarter which actually been too slow for us. I hope we will see some gud speed in near future now.

And Congratulations Bhuvan!!

Yay, that's great news from Bhuvan!

We need at least five weeks movement each month...that's the only way we can claw back time "lost" and truly speed up the process. Moving one month (or less) each month is just depressing. Let's hope more letters with later PDs are going out.

Hi All,

I received my IL (interview Letter) yesterday morning.

PD 08 JUN 2006

interview in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on 20 March 2014.

I know that after interview I have 6 months to live.

But I am in a big project here.

My intention is to be in brazil till the end of this year.

So I am wondering if is better to reschedule my interview to june or august or go to interview now and explain the situation and ask to stay in brazil till the end of this year.

Does anyone has experience on this issue?

Thanks

Firstly Congrats for the IL... suppose you get the visa you need to travel to US within 6 Months.. and then you can come back after you have got the 1 Year GC on the Airport.. so you can continue your project and wrap it up.

If you still need more time than 6 - 12 Months (confirm that period) to complete your project then you need to send some form (Application, dont remember the name) for the delay and take due permission and get the extension. It is pretty straight forward and easy thing to do.

But if you delay the Interview and then the PD retrogreses (God forbid) then you have to wait again.. or any other unforseen circumstances happen and the Interview gets further delayed and/or the GC, it is only self inflicting and risky move. So I suggest a bird in hand is always better content.gif .

I agree with this. There's no way I would delay the interview and risk getting held up by a possible retrogression.

Haljbr you'll have six months to enter the US and activate it once the visa is stamped in your passport. At that point you will be a "US resident", but my understanding is that you'll still be able to leave the country with the intention of winding up your affairs. I think you can apply for a reentry permit if you're going to be out any longer than 6-12 months (perhaps someone with more knowledge can clarify this point).
