Hello friends,

My sister will go to interview this coming Monday.

She was just told by some immigration consultant that she needs to get a new I-864 which is in a totally new format.

I rember I saw somewhere, for the old applicants (the filing was processed through efiling 2 years ag\o) the old I-864 remain good and no need to change.

Should I prepare and new I-864? Is the benificiary required to present the new I864 even when the case was processed online 2 years ago?

Thanks in advance for any help

hi

I hope your sister had a succesful interview today

please please let us know

When was her case completed ?

Was she asked for a new I-864 if her case was completed more than 12 months ago?

what other documents did she submit to the embassy and what questions was she asked?

Was she asked to submit DS260 in place of DS230 that she submitted previously?

enjoy your time and thanks for your reply

My sister's interview didn't go well. She was too nervus and pulled out a copy of I-864 (2011 version) and couldn't find the orignal. She was not approved and asked to submitted 3 orginals through designated agency.

She found the original after she got out of the consulate general.

Now I'm more puzzled - why 3 and which version 2011 or 2013? I don't want to wait for the consulate response to my inquire email (it takes them 3 or more days to reply). I made 6 originals, 3 in 2011 version. 3 in 2013 version. Send all of them in.

She was not asked to submit DS260 in place of DS230. I think the DS230 is ok.

My sister said the interview went through fine. Everything seems ok until the I-864. She got four pages basically telling to submit 3 orginals of I-864.

I also found out that all the online documents and inverview scheduling are done through the designated agency CGI Stanley.

Sorry for here that.

Will they schedule a new interview to her?

May I take this opportunity to wish you all have a Happy Holiday!

I sat for interview in early August and landed US around mid November. My point of entry was JFK New York. When I got off the plane, I followed the queue for non-US citizen / non-US residents with my packet tightly held in hand. When my turn came, the customs officer briefly looked at my passport and my packet. He then escorted me to a room. I waited there around 60 mins for my fingerprint stamped on a piece of document. That's it.

Green card came within 4 weeks upon landing. Social Security Card did not come automatically although I opted it in the "DS Part II Form" (hope I got the form code correct). I waited 3 weeks upon landing and went to Social Security Card to apply for it. The SS Card eventually came around 6 working days.

The next essential papers I want to get are State ID with my picture on it + a secured credit card.

At the moment, I am enjoying the happy union with my family. And that made all the torturing waiting-for-7-years-or-more worthwhile.

To those awaiting an interview date, please hang in there and your happy union will come along one day.

Hello VJ family Happy Holiday to everyone, i called NVC on December 3 and was told my case was complete on the November 28 i received an email stating, "The National Visa Center has received all documentation necessary to complete pre-processing of your case. As soon as an interview date has been scheduled, the applicant, petitioner and attorney (if applicable) will be notified." on December 6, i have checked the ceac website several times since then and my status is still saying "AT NVC" is this normal or should it have changed by now. Thank you
