Does anyone here passed through interview process?

I am F1 case and would like to hear something about.

Is it a place that you seat or must be stand?

What kind of questions?

My mother lives more than 15 years in USA so now its my time to go.

I do not have interview schedule yet but wanna be prepared.

I have a daughter with a girl, now she is 13 years old and I applied to her at same time for me.

She won't go with me right now to USA. I intend to go first and after I find job I can bring her with me.

Also had a boy with another woman (married and divorced) but he is too young (4) so I never applied to him.

I do not have much money too. So is it may be a red flag?

Any contribuition would be appreciated.

tks

Yes my case was completed around 2 yrs ago in the year when there was retrogression.

were you asked for a new I-864 as the pervious one was more than 12 months old?

When I did my interview they did not ask me for a new Affidavit of Support however I took my parents tax information to the interview. I know of people that were asked for their parents' tax information so it is good to just take them.

what other documents did you submit to the embassy and what questions were you asked?

They asked me for the following documents: 1) A copy of my mother's naturalization cert. 2) Police certificate. 3) Pics. I made sure that the pics on my police cert was the same as the ones that I submited. 4) Passport

As it relates to my interview experience just scroll back to August 26, 2013 and read my interview experience.

Thank you it has been pretty good so far I am enjoying my time.

I remember when I was in my final year of waiting the vb retrogressed from feb 2006 to 2004 and stayed there for a number. It would take another 2 years of waiting to get current. You guys should be very happy that the vb is moving at a steady pace in your last year of waiting and that you can pretty much estimate when you would be getting through. :)

Good luck to you all

Hey guys sorry I took so long to post my interview experience. Well everything went thru but my father need to send some pension/social security payout document which the consular told me after taking my passport and giving me a piece of green slip. He said he was to email and if he did so the same day the visa would be available. Well he did so the same so i am just waiting for them to acknowledge receipt of it and issued the visa. I was ask a lot of questions the main focus was why my dad's name was added when i was 18 years old.

He at one point ask me what do i have to prove he is my father and i started going in my file folder and the counsular and he told me to give him what i have or else he is going to send me to do a DNA so i basically gave some pics, some money transfer receipts, christmas cards.

Interview experience

I arrived at the embassy to see lines that were created based on time, my appointment was scheduled for 8:30am so naturally I joined the 8:30 am line.

We were instructed to take out our appointment letters, two photos and write our full names on the back of the photos. I did what I was told and the first page of my Il was checked, marked, separated from the rest of the document and given back to me.

I entered the embassy in a line we were instructed to take off belts and remove metals from our person. I did what I was told and entered the courtyard where there were people waiting ahead of me I sat in the next available chair and within 10mins of sitting I was instructed to join a line on the inside.

When it was my time to be processed in the line the lady took the first page of my IL, gave me a number and instructed me to go through a door and sit on the extreme right "A section". I did what I was told.

My number was called and I was asked to provide my medical, police cert and 2 pictures, note no tax cert or non-imped! I gave her the requested documents and then she gave me a ticket with 8:30am on it and was instructed to have a seat and wait to be called for my interview.

After a ka-billion years of waiting and midway falling asleep I heard my name being called to report to counter number. I did what I was told and the interviewer asked me the following questions.

Who is your petitioner?

What do you do for a living?

I signed some documents.

He then asked for my passport and the copy of the DHL reservation.

And that was it I was approved! Yeah

Thanks all for making this process a less difficult one. I look forward to reading daily post kinda like how I look forward to my breakefast. Thanks a million to West for creating this group and all the followers that make this thread a blazing success.

I wish that all that are waiting get through as soon as possible and you can be assured that I will be here with you all.

Take care my VJ family

Thank you,

There is nothing in the letter asking for a new I-864 but i intent to bring the latest tax info from my petitioner. Did you read somewhere that a new I-864 was required?

I'm being asked to bring photocopies of all civil documents, a printout of the instructions page, original documents if copies were submitted to NVC, interview letter.

in my country they ask for a new I-864 and usual when u got an IL u will recive a documentsd check list:

IF a sponsor filed an I-864 (Affidavit of Support) AND provided the NVC with proof of an IRS Federal Income Tax Extension in lieu of a Federal Income Tax Return, the applicant must bring the sponsor's most recent Federal Income Tax Return to the visa interview.

you are right, mine says the same, so they are not exactly asking for a new I-864 but the petitioners most recent tax return.

Also, visa bulletin is out, December 08 -2006

Thanks
