LOL. That's gonna happen once DHL delivers the package to me. I'm still waiting on the waybill number. I'm looking at your timeline, and DAY 60? Whaaaaaaaa? Perhaps you should be screaming too, but for a different reason. Lol. At least it's progressing, so that's where the good news is. :)

Guys, I just wanted to tell you all that I picked up my package at DHL this afternoon, at exactly 4:57 PM (three minutes before they closed).! It took just two days to get my visa since it was issued. I never expected I'd be out of here only four days after my interview. I booked my flight, which leaves to NYC tomorrow morning. I've set like six alarms to make sure I wake up. (My flight is at 6 am.)

I'll still be lurking around from time to time, to see how the rest of the gang is keeping on. But things are moving along, and what was once a dream has now finally become a reality. You all will get to share the feeling of finally becoming a Permanent Resident of the USA! Woohoo!

All the best to all my VJ crew!

Well, no screaming yet lol. Adjustment of status takes around 4 months on average. If you live in a busy center like Florida or New York, it might take even longer. But what is a few months compared to years? Keeping my fingers crossed :)

By the way, I got news from Loudoff, he was also doing adjustment of status and he had his interview yesterday and got approved!

Hi everyone! Hope everyone is doing ok?

Hoping to hear good news re interview letters this week.

I checked the PD list and there aren't many on here with Dec 06 / Jan 07 dates...

NAME----------------------PD----------------------CASE COMPLETED----------INTERVIEW

KODIAK------------------06DEC06----------------------30APR12

SJOGA-------------------21DEC06-----------------------------
NNROSE123---------------13JAN07----------------------03SEP10
AKANCHAWA(ZEE)----------27JAN07-----------------------------

No one with a Feb PD at all! As javisakid pointed out, there are probably many who don't know about this forum, however I still hope we have good movement; and more than the 3-5 weeks predicted.

My family in the US has been telling me all about their plans for Thanksgiving this Thursday...I hope all our VJ family who have made it stateside recently have a great day!

javisakid, LOL! Yes, I can tell you that it feels good to become a Permanent Resident of the USA. I received a Welcome letter to USA 2 days after the interview date and my green card is on the way to my address which assuming that I should be receiving it in a couple of days. I am so glad that my immigration process has been completed and can put it aside and my next journey is to get a job( I mean a career) which is really hard but I will keep looking until I get one.

NevermindVz, hang in there! You're almost there!

Hi Baileys, I am hoping to see some good movement as well in the next couple of bulletins. Hoping to be current very soon (PD March 26, 2007).

My family is planning their Thanksgiving Day celebrations as well and I am feeling a bit left out crying.gif , but hopefully by next year's Thanksgiving I will be with them to partake in the holiday celebrations. And all 2007ers here will have reunited with their families as well!!!

Thanks Shema758. My POE went flawlessly. I got to the states by Friday morning, and in the Immigration Hall of JFK, an agent took my package and directed me to a room for processing, which was really a short affair. He fingerprinted me and made me sign the application for the green card. I did, however, have to speak up to say that the address that was listed on the sealed envelope was old and I gave them a new one to which my green card should be sent. They told me to expect it in 6 weeks.

Yesterday I went to the Social Security Administration's office in my town and applied for my SSN. I went back this morning to pick up a printout letter with the number. I then used this letter, along with two documents proving my address, to get my provisional drivers licence at the DMV this afternoon.

It's all happened very quickly, but I'm happy because I can't wait anymore to get my life off of pause.

Good luck to everyone else still waiting. Fingers crossed for interview letters being received soon.

Happy holidays to those already in the states!
