Here's the list of the vaccines you'll need. You'll usually find that a comic might provide them at a lower price, if not for free.

The link: http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_1331.html

Thanks but i still cant make up my mind what to do. How much would it cost if i do the vaccines when i am doing the medical.

I meant to say "clinic" instead of "comic." Hilarious!

But you can simply contact the place where you've registered to do your medical and they should be able to give you a quote on what the additional cost will be if they were to administer any vaccines on the list that you don't already have. If you can afford it, you can just get it from them.

Unbelievable! I am still waiting on my green card. I had made all the necessary calls and found out it is going through a process and was told I just have to wait. It is more than 2 months since I got here. Has anyone ever had to wait this long?

Hey West!! I think the reason for them not rushing it is because you have one in your passport so technically if you have your ssn and your passport then you are good.

I hope that you get it soon West!

Yes I have my SSN. I just wanted to go to Canada this month but I have to use my Green card to get back in the states. Even though they said my passport is good enough, I'm not willing to take that chance.

The visa that was stamped in your passport at the border is the legal equivalent of a green card, allowing you to do all the things the actual card itself would allow you to do. It's like an interim green card. So if you travel to Canada you will have absolutely no problems reentering. Regarding you not getting your actual green card yet, simply call the USCIS.

I hear you Javisakid, I know it does but I rather to wait on the green card. I called USCIS already and was given that info. Thanks for the tip!

that is valid. My mom wanted to do the same and called some office and was told the # in her passport is her green card number and she can use it and she did so.

Hey West. I landed in the US on August 20th, got my SSN two weeks after landing, left the US on September 13th without my GC. I only received the GC yesterday. I was getting worried as to why it was taking such a long time.
