Oh just to clear things up a bit so there is no misunderstanding. The stuff about the naturalization card, dont get me wrong I did not tell him that I

should not have it or that all the petitioner's document would have already been sent for the filing to be approved, that was just something I'm sharing with you based on the conversation with my mom.All I did during the interview was let him know I was not asked to take those documents based on my IL .

smile.png just in case you guys thought I was there arguing (nah no such thing).

Well my interviewer was not as" charming" as the others mentioned on this forum.

Let me first say this....the IL lists all the documents and next to each document is an alphabet/letter (which explains what action you need to take for the corresponding doc)

In my case after reviewing the list the only things I needed to take along with me were the Police Cert. and 2012 Tax doc (even prior to getting the IL I had decided not to get the non impediment $$$$,since no one else said it was taken from them).

Anyway,my interview began with me being asked for my mother's Birth Cert. then for her Naturalization Card so I informed him I did not have either,as it was not requested on the IL which stated

Petitioner Birth Cert- F (F means NVC did not request this form or document)

and no mention of Naturalization Card (which I was told by my mom is not something I should even have). As all the documents they needed from her was sent in order for the filing to be approved.

I dont think he was too happy that I had my papers there as proof,so he moved on to asking me what was the longest time I've stayed in the U.S.

I told him 2012 for 2 mths. After all that he asked me if I had registered with DHL and told me it will be await time of 10 days.

Oh by the way they took the Police Cert. and I was not asked for the most recent tax doc (how odd!!)

Were you approved, then? That's the most important thing. If you are, then congrats. I hope you'll receive your package quickly.

So congrats are in order puppyluv?

In other news, I'm resending my package due to a missing doc. It seems this is going to be an exhilarating bumpy road all the way until the very end lol.

I hope they start sending those ILs soon!

So my son priority date is July 9, 2007. Everything was done in June 2011: the choice of agent, the affidavit of support, the feel payment...The last letter I receveid was my inquiry has been received at NVC in June 27,2011. So,is this the case complete? My other question is when will be asked for his background in Brazil (we are Brazilian) and biometric exam ? How long it takes before when his priority date be current? Thanks all for your replies.

@ Marlizinha, from what u posted it certainly look like your case in completed. It's safe to assume that your son's priority date would be "current" sometimes in 2014. Cheers.

@ Puppyluv; congrats!

To all my fellow F1ers, here's hoping we see a giant leap in the coming months! Peace y'all!

My mom said she got her Noa in 2010 from uscis is that normal too? Although she is very confident that by next year everything will be in place me I'm a bbit worried because I feel I shud be past this stage already. My last question is the $400 paid is that the visa fee or uscis fee because I have a feeling she aint to versed in this stuff. Thanks.

Hey Chokey, my priority date is also 2007 and I was given notice to fill out my ds260 back in 2011 or 2012 and I have also paid up all my fees. Something interesting, my lawyer back in L.A, deals with high volume of cases and I've asked her many times to give me a timeline on my IL. She has always been a realist and told me to keep an eye on the bulletin. A couple days ago she asked my father to provide an updated job letter to re-submit, because she feels an IL will be coming soon and she does not want to delay anything. To me that is good news,, but I understand its going to come in the first half of 2014, my personal option.

I remember paying the Immigrant Visa, $165, and the AOS, $88, fees.I think there are some other fees associated with the application, I don't recall. Maybe one of the other guys could help answer that question.

Good luck this week guys! star_smile.gif

Thanks, NMVZ! Looked back at last year's posts, and it appears that the first letters for November 2012 started going out around the 2nd of October. Here's hoping we might get something earlier.

Is everything in order with your AOS?

Meanwhile, what's up with everyone else? F1junkie, any news on your package?

Well, the tracking number says everything was re-delivered on the 19th, but I haven't heard anything else yet. I'm keeping my fingers crossed and trying not to panic yet lol. Thanks for asking javisakid! smile.png
