Someone here posted that they got an IL with PD 26 September 2006, P1. There was another user who also stated he got a IL but never posted his PD.

Hi guys I'm kinda new to dis but been following ur posts for sometime....my issue is this my mom filed for me 2006 and was invited to do a DNA test on the 26th of last month..I've gotten that out of the way just waiting for them to get back to me...the thing is I don't knw what's d next step after the DNA.. I haven't had an interview before or gotten a letter requesting for a medical or police certificate....I need help guys anyone with info I'll highly appreciate....p.s I'm in Nigeria

Welcome Chokey. The DNA test is to confirm that your mom is your real mother. Depending on your priority date, NVC will notify you when you are about to be current. By the way what is your priority date.

Hello chokey. Welcome to our little crew. We're curious to know what your priority date is, if you know it. That you were asked to do a DNA test suggests that your priority date is indeed close to becoming current -- if somehow isn't already.

Btw: your priority date is the date on which USCIS received your mother's initial petition in 2006.

Hey Guys, I got this email from NVC at around 12:02am today, very strange on the time, it stated the following.

The National Visa Center has received all documentation necessary to complete pre-processing
of your case. As soon as an interview date has been scheduled, the applicant, petitioner
and attorney (if applicable) will be notified.

We've been sending them our documents for the past couple months but never got this type email. Does this mean my cause was completed?

We've been sending them our documents for the past couple months but never got this type email. Does this mean my cause was completed?

Did you last contact them asking them for a status on your case? It might be them giving you a very late response to let you know that they're are about to complete your case. You've done the choice of agent, paid for the visa and submitted the affidavit of support, right? Edited September 4, 2013 by javisakid

I was thinking the same it could just be a status update that was initiated late. I don't recall asking for one, but the email was sent from NVCInquiry which kinda confirm it was just an update. Yes, to the second part, I did sent in all the required documents.

That email is saying that your case is completed and now you have to wait until a visa number is available for you to get your green card. Currently the priority date Being processed is 15th sept 2006

No missing documents = good news. :-)

I don't understand why NVC emails have to be so cryptic, a nice Bold head saying "Your case is completed, please remain in line", would have done the job. Thanks f1jumkie! I was really hoping that was the case, happy that is out the way.
