Wow, today is the 30th and there have been no interview letters for priority dates past October 1, am I to conclude that this bulletin will move by only 2 weeks?

Sad face. I will have missed the cutoff by 5 days? FIVE DAYS! I wish that they would bring back the V visa they had in the early 2000s which would have allowed those in our category to live and work in the US legally until we had our interview so that our lives wouldn't have to be on hold as it is. We're all separated from our loved ones and from our future because of some damn numbers game.

Priority Date: 10/5/2006

Interview Scheduled: 10/1/2013

Medical Completed: 11/4/2013

Interview Completed: 11/18/2013

CEAC Status -- Administrative Processing -- 11/19/2013

CEAC Status -- ISSUED -- 11/19/2013

VISA IN HAND -- 11/21/2013

POE -- 11/22/2013

I am so disappointed Javisakid. I really thought October's visa bulletin would move by more than two weeks. But from last month's experience I have learnt to go according to the interview letters received. So all signs point to only two weeks movement. How disappointing!!!!

Surprisingly, the anxiety I felt last month I'm not feeling it now (which is odd, because the time is much closer). I guess it's called being numb with pain. Well, there's a bright side to it all. We have more time to save for paying all the things we're gonna have to pay for: medical, updated police certificates, GC fees, plane fares and, of course, celebration party expenses.

I would like to ask a question to all those who have had their medicals done, especially females (like myself). Do we all have to strip down to our birthday suits? And if yes, what exactly is done at that point?

Definitely not! The test will be mostly about finding if you have contagious diseases or not and are immune to the following diseases

  • Mumps
  • Measles
  • Rubella
  • Polio
  • Tetanus and Diphtheria Toxoids
  • Pertussis
  • Haemophilus influenzae type B
  • Hepatitis B
  • etc.

. They will take your blood samples and test for TB and if you are not immune to one or more of the above diseases, you will be required to get the vaccinations. Good luck!

Yes you have to remove all clothing, It will be the last procedure but may be different in other countries.

Loudoff have you done your medical ? From what country ? Are you female ?

I don't see any reason to take off all your clothes unless you are required to do a chest X-ray for TB test which you have to remove your underwear and put on a gown. However, it is different from country to country so I may be wrong. I did adjustment of status and did my medical exam in U.S.

If you're already in the US the medical procedure is different. The physical exam involves looking at different parts of the body including the sex organ. Exactly what they're looking for beats me.

Hello guys, I passed my interview yesterday. I would say everything went exactly like what the VJs posted here, so I would not bother describing my interview again, everything was exactly the same!!. Just want to say that, just read the previous articles here relating to your country, then everything would be fine. Be patient and take it easy and be prepared, eventually all of us will make it.goofy.gifgoofy.gif
