I'm more confused than ever before huh2.gif .I sent an email to the local embassy and they responded saying my file

is not there so I should contact the NVC. I emailed them(NVC) followed by me calling.I was just advised that my case is not yet current as they are processing applicants

for the month of jun. Also that they do not forward files until they have a visa number available for which an appointment date can be set.

Just to let u guys know something I learnt from the horses mouth yesterday... Well I called the USCIS yesterday to ask them what's going on with my greencard.. Got some good news.. Thank God.. But she went on to tell me that I don't need to be conerned just yet because u should wait for 60 days after arriving at you Port of Entry (POE) in the USA and u haven't gotten ur greencard to query it. I also asked her if I can travel outside the country or get married or get a job and she said yes I can do anything because she said when you enter the POE and your immigrant visa is stamped with and expiry date one year after the date u enter (this is the endorsement of the immigrant visa which is now your temporary greencard or ur I55 stamp) and u use this as u wud ur greencard until u get the actual plastic... But every country is different so find out the rules etc of ur country for entering n leaving etc... Just sharing the information I got because I know some of you may want to know everything that may happen... I don't work with good luck I work with God's blessings so I leave you my family buff blessings for the weekend... Remember share ur experiences with us whatever they maybe if they are not too personal... Always good to share n help... Bless up urselves...

@ Grace A Its funny that you should ask about my PD because when I was talking to the agent this earlier she said my PD is the 17th Jul (?????)

But yea like I said they say its now yet current. She told me not to be confused by the August bulletin but I could become current soon at which point they will

forward my file to Kingston.

I'm surprised that there's such a mixup with your priority date. You say it's JUL 26, while the NVC says it's JUL 17. That suggests there might be a problem on your end or theirs. The only thing I can suggest is waiting until August 1, when the August bulletin takes effect, and re-write a letter to the Embassy. Your case is very unusual, because the Embassy has no records of your documents, the NVC gives you a different priority date, and even if it's JUL 17, they ought to have sent your case to the Embassy already, as they have done with the persons having a PD earlier and later than yours. puppyluv, you can also try contacting the Department of State directly. They have a Visa Services, Public Inquiries Division, accessible at (202) 663-1225. You can speak with an official visa specialist there.

Good luck.

Take ur passport with ur endorsed immigrant visa... If u have a drivers licence from ur home country just go online and make an apointment to the DMV nearest to you and take ur two proof of address, passport with ur i55 stamp and ur social security card... If u have never owned a licence u have to take a ddrugs alcohol traffic school course before any of the above
