@ Szoeie I thought ur interview is on 12 th aug how come u have already submitted your PC .. My priority date is 18 th aug still didn't receive my IL.. Is there anything to worry about ?

Szoeie, I read somewhere that that letters often get sent out in reverse order; so those with a later PD may have received theirs before you. If you don't receive it by mid next week perhaps give your local embassy a call to check they have the correct contact information for you.

Thank you f1junkie, Grace and Nevermind VZ. I managed to enjoy a very good sleep last night. Most important of all, what i experienced yesterday wasn't a dream at all. The notification i got from NVC is still sitting in my email inbox. rofl.gif I double checked just now. Isn't that wonderful? Thank God and you people for walking this journey with me.

Meanwhile, i wish a quick journey to all people in this Forum. star_smile.gif

I remember a member here lately has a concern over his/her lost passport. It looks like that an UNEXPIRED PASSPORT matters more. In my interview letter, I am requested to present an UNEXPIRED passport. I hope this piece of information helps him/her.

April 2012 I received a correspondence from NVC stating that I had to produce my original birth certificate or a certified copy as well as a Jamaican police certificate.

I don't know if the process is different here, but I was asked last year to submit all the dates that I travelled to the US as we'll as all the places I lived in for more than one year. Jamaica was listed hence the reason for the police certificate.

Don't worry, you should probably wait on the vb and then call NVC to follow up.

Westlink, did you get a chance to look into CSPA (Child Status Protection Act) if your daughter is qualified for it or maybe, you could talk to an attorney and find out about that so you don't miss the opportunity to bring her with you too.

I agree with u loudoff that West shud check that out

I have been checking my daughter's CSPA age from year 2010. She had aged out! Her CSPA age now is 23yrs old and her real age is 26.. There's nothing that can be done. I just have to file for her as soon as I am able to. I have even research conversion and retaining a priority date but I would have to get a lawyer and fight that in court with little or no chance of sucess. I hope for changes in the immigration system which will shorten applicant's wait time. NVC did not include her on the IL, yet they requested civil documents but not payment for her IV. I had made an inquiry to NVC sometime back about CSPA for her but there reply was I have to wait until am current and the CO will decide.

I hope that they pass the immigration reform soon to reduce the waiting time so your daughter can reunite with you after you migrate to U.S.
