VillaC yes you have to pay that 165USD after your successful interview before you go to the USA... U can pay the money after you arrive in the USA and use the endorsed I55 visa in ur passport but some employers are not to keen with this they prefer to see ur greencard.. This I55 expires 1 yr after u arrive in the USA (1 yr after u arrive at the port of entry in the USA) so u must pay thr 165 dollars before it expires should u chose to wait until after u get to the USA.

My advice is that you pay the 165 dollars before you come to the USA

Oli I understand the emotions I had and still have them too relocating is a mighty move but just make ur plans and ask God to guide you...

So happy for the movements guess remember PREPARE get ALL the Documents even those u probably think aren't important... Put them together for ur interview... God bless

f1junkie u better make sure u have everything ready!!!

Hi my priority date is 18 aug 2006.. Still haven't recieved IL ... :(

I have one more question in 2001 to 2004 I stayed in India for 3 years and from 2005 June to 2007 Jan I stayed in Germany for 1.5 years .. Will I be needing police certificates from both the countries .. If yes then what could be the procedure to get those certificates ASAP ?

Goldfish18, when I was requested to send the police certificate a while back, I had to get one from my country and also from Jamaica since I lived there for 3 years. If you submitted the foreign certificates previously and have not resided outside of your home country for more than a year since submitting, you do not need the foreign police certificates for the interview. If your country's police certificate is more than a year old your should get another one just in case.

Thanks For the clarification Grace.

Mohamed el bakr, your PD is August 15, 2006 right? It would mean the date's moved to at least August 22 but szoeie has a date of August 21 and she hasn't received anything.

Yes, unfortunately. It is a new fee that applies to every person that will have an interview after February 1, 2013. You will need to pay this fee in order to obtain your green card after your interview.

Thanks for the help jav.
