Also what is more painful is that my daughter has aged out and I didn't want to leave her behind, CSPA does not cover her anymore, her CSPA age is now 22yrs and a few months. She just got back her visa for Canada, so hopefully soon she can apply for her US one, so that is good!

The fact that your daughter is not able to go with you suck!! I hope that the immigration reform bill is passed and that it addresses this issue.

loroko01, can you clear up this priority date problem....Members are convinced you had the receipt & PD mixed up....Do you have any proof otherwise that can verify your priority date and interview letter from NVC or your embassy? You have to understand that nothing like this has ever happened, so it is really shocking for everyone including myself, plus we haven't heard of anyone else getting IL's...Let us know please!

Loroko01 where are you?

Hi,

I have question, I do hope someone can help. My mom applied for both my brother and I, my brother however resides in England on a resident visa. USCIS has asked my mom for my brother to provide evidence that he is in England legally. Will it be an issue that he is there on a resident visa?

Good night szoeie I am not a pro on British Immigration but I did some research to understand what this UK resident visa is at this site: http://www.*removed due to spam*.com/uk_immigration/long_term_residency_visa.html

Having a resident visa would mean that he is living in England legally and should not have any issues.

I would love to hear from members who are in a similar situation.

Thanks f1junkie. He has been living there for almost 5 years. My mom said she called USCIS for an update and they requested official documentation that he is legal. Her concern is whether it would be an issue if he is on a resident visa. The lawyer told her that someone applying for a US green card should not have any other applications for residency in another country.

Would really like to know if anyone else is in a similar position.
