Hehe. That's funny.

I don't think anyone else got any interviews. Seems they've all been already sent out. Let's hope for the VB being out today, and that somehow it will say April 8, 2006.

It's either April 1st or April 8th. Probably 1st, but hoping for 8th!

Glad to see you here in this forum. When you are current, you would be notified by US Embassy in your country. You will then sit for an interview. Get a visa if the interview is a success. You will then need to fly to US within six months or so. You will receive a green card within six weeks or so when you are actually in US.

Grace, Westlink or anyone, if I am wrong in any of the above, would you please correct me :bonk: so that our new member Haljbr get a more accurate picture? Many thanks!

a no impediment certificate is also called a single status affidavit... it is issued by the register of birth deaths and marriages in each country. it shows that you have never been married if that is so..

An advice to all that is not a current date or to all that knows that will be a long time to wait.

live your life. forget about it for now.

don´t look at visa bulletin for now.

My last denied visa to USA (as tourist) was in 1999 and just now I gonna have opportunity to go.

Many years suffering and waiting... So now the time has almost come.

But years before would be different, now I do not have the same feeling, the same passion.

1997 - first try to get VISA (tourist)

1998 - second

1999 - third

2006 - application to USCIS - I130

2010 - NCV

2012 - I got VISA tourist and went for 30 days

2013 - Almost Current

???? - GO legally

You are correct Grace but note also that the no-impediment cert shows whether one is married or not, meaning if one is married, it will states so, just like the lady in that article. Also Haljbr, once you are notified with your interview letter, you will get a list of things to prepared for your interview like, medical, new police certificate, petitioner's or co-sponsor if related latest income tax, new I-864 form petitioner or co-sponsor mentioning 2012, 2011 & 2010 year and recent photos with petitioner if any.

PS. If visa approved, you will be notify that you have under 6 months to leave your country, if you do not comply your visa is void after 6mths

I don't think the no-impediment is required in every country but one can still check to see. So far from what I read it is only required in Jamaica.
