Hey my dear friends I have some good news I finally received my interview date for April 30.. And it seems they were in such a hurry that they forgot to attach packet 4 to the email. i sent another email to them advising them that i did not get the attachment.. so hopefully they dont spend another month sending me it..:) West I got a no-impediment certificate when I submitted my first set of papers to NVC because they requested it on the letter they sent me. but when I went to the embassy for the first interview when I signed the DS230 they gave me another sheet of paper( forgot what it was called) to sign that simply states you are not married and you will not get married until after you have become a US permanent resident...and I have heard some of my other collegues who went for interview said that they didnt have to take in a no impediment certificate as they simply signed that form...it takes a long time for processing if you decide to get one and they will only process it quickly if ur interview shows you have a week to get it. Thanks Oli... Thank you guys so much I feel so much better at least I have a time now.. Hopefully they wills end me packet 4 before my interview so I can know what to submit and get the medical forms.. I have already scheduled my medical also... :) We are moving along!

Fantastic Grace, Very happy for you.

It's kinda annoying that we have no way of knowing if it moved more than 3 weeks, although that would be spectacular. Any word from the Vietnamese or Spanish forums?

There is a member on the Spanish forums with PD 14-Apr-06. But she hasn't received an interview letter yet.

ETA: The site for the Vietnamese forum (vietditru) seems to be down.

Thank you West! But I dont know what it is.,.. they sent me an interview date and said Enclosed is Package 4.. and there is absolutely NO attachment on my email... I have written to them to correct it though because they send the medical forms in that package also.. I really hope they do NOT take so long with yours! So we gotta start praying from now..:)

Oh so your priority date is March 09, 2006 so as of May you will be current. And your interview is going to be in May as well on May 28 so about 4 weeks wait and they scheduled your interview. So thats not tooo bad. I still hope this visa bulletin moves by 4 weeks atleast and next one by 6 weeks and then I will be current. My priority date is May 18, 2006 and my interview is also going to be in Montreal. I can not waiiiiittttt. Every day I talk to my parents and they ask me how much longer is the wait now. Oh god please make this visa bulletin move fast.

Hi iven, sounds like we are in the same boat. You are the only other Canadian I have seen in this thread :)

I had heard that the wait for Montreal was horrendous but looks like they're picking up the pace as my interview is only 4 weeks after I become current. I'm nervous but hopeful that everything goes well. Best wishes to you! Hopefully you are with your family by mid summer

Ok. I'm sure they will correct the error as soon as possible, don't worry! It seems to me with all the changes at the embassy lately, it has affected the process to get their work done efficiently. Lets hope things will go smoothly when it is my turn. I'm hoping & praying!!
