I emailed my dad and he finally replied me.

He said he had to hire a new lawyer because the previous one didn't "know how to do my paper work"

He didn't tell details as why that lawyer could not do it.

He told in about 90 days he will *hopefully* have some news.

But really...Doing paper work for an F1 category applicant shouldn't be too hard.

Would anyone explain why that lawyer or any lawyer couldn't do it?

Sounds strange to me.

really it's not that hard.

oh well...90 day wait.

Hello everyone,

My category is: son over 21 of a US citizen.

My Priority date is July 2007.

My petition was approved.

I am waiting for a visa.

Do you guys know what are the next steps after the visa number becomes current? Do you know how long it usually takes to get an EAD after my visa number is due?

Hey guys....I missed out on all the updates during the past couple of days. Congrats to all those who got letters... I haven't received mines yet.. but I got a feeling its on its way..lol. I will call NVC tomorrow. Great movement ahead!

I havent received it either but I guess its because "my" consulate in london was/is closed on Friday and Monday for Easter. Your case might be the same situation.

I guess by Tuesday IL's should trickle in.

They mail/email you about Interview. Hopefully then they put a Immigrnt stamp in your passport and off you go. As a greencard holder you dont need an EAD anymore.
