According to this web page, NZ Ministry of Justice should get ready of your document in 20 working days. But pls note that postage time is not included.

This is unfortunate vish. You should've applied for your NZ PCC way lot earlier. You could've avoided this delay.I had been canada for 5 years i got it a year ago.Anyways hope they dont make u wait for 2 long..Good luck hope u get ur visa soon.

Guys those who are preparing for interview..Please make sure u have everything in hand at the time of ur interview, else when if ur case goes pending, its an indefinite wait for some..I was this by the lady at the mumbai consulate. Its better not to end up getting the pending status.

If you've traveled anywhere outside ur home country.PLEASE make sure u apply for ur PCC way earlier to avoid delay, read about the process in the respective country website or google etc. The Canadian PCC took me about 6 months to get, but i had the luxury of time before my interview.

When a case goes pending you cannot get an update when ull get a visa approved from anyone...it can be frustrating

Hey Vishu,

It sounds like obtaining PC from NZ for US migration is strange one as Holland. They too send it directly to the NVC/Consulate.

However in my case, for me to obtain it, I had to email/regular mail NVC and give them my previous address in Holland and NVC themself would ask the proper authority in Holland, No forms to fill etc which was pretty confusing. Anyway, for them I think it took about 2 months to get it (based on date I emailed NVC and the time I had my Case fully approved, back in Nov 2010.

My question to you is, did you live in NZ after your case was approved or before?

Good luck and do not worry, 'Im sure if you contact them again, they will get the PC across within a month at most.

Patient man why does it matter when he lived in NZ? Would it be different if he had lived there before his case got approved or after? Please tell me. Thanks

Because when they process the case at NVC they ask for the PC from countries one has lived in for the last 10 years. If Vishu lived there before the case was approved then they would have asked for the PC for NZ at that time.

Considering our situaion is different and we were affected by retrogression, then we must supply PC from the counties we have lived in between the dates our case was approved and present day.

Hence I am assuming in Vishu's case this is after the approval.

Does this make sense?

Congrats on knowing something's in the works. Badger them until you get packet 4.

If I'm not mistaken, persons over the age of 16 MUST provide a PC for any country they had lived in or worked in for more than 6 months (even if it was 1 yr, 5 yrs, 10 yrs or 40 yrs ago). I don't think it matters what stage your case is at either.
