Question : Shoul i ask my parents to fill a new I 864 form , or just send me the new tax release ?

Well...it depends on ur Embassy where u will be Interviewing. Some need new I-864 form, some need a copy that u submitted at NVC and some not.....But most likely they wont need a new one. Bus yes...u will definitely need Tax returns of Year 2011 along with 1040 and W2...If ur petitioner has filed for Year 2012 and he/she sends u a copy they it would be even better...since u will be interviewing in April...so u r on edge of whether to take year 2012 or not....

Hey Krishh hope you are all ready for Wednesday! All the best of luck. I still havent heard from my country's embassy, but I know they are a little behind with many things so I am still waiting for an IL date...

Hope you have everything ready and all the best!

Hey GraceA give the Jamaican embassy a call. They would have to give you an update.

I would be calling them on a weekly basis when I am current.

Wow, Grace A. You deserve a prize for being the most patient person ever.

You're well within your rights to know why the embassy hasn't contacted you. Is there administrative processing going on?

I hope it gets sorted soon.

Best of luck.

I'm afraid you misunderstood what they mean. They are not closing the EMBASSY, they are only closing the USCIS FIELD OFFICE that has jurisdiction over Jamaica, Anguilla, Aruba, The Bahamas, Bonaire, British Virgin Islands, Cayman Islands, Curaçao, Montserrat, Turks and Caicos Islands, Guantanamo Bay Naval Station and relocating it to SANTO DOMINGO, DOMINICAN REPUBLIC. The field office is where you filed an application or petition. It does not affect the consulate where you go for your interview. There was a program on Television here where an agent of the embassy explained the changes.

3 Weeks is not bad, I was expecting a least 4 weeks. I guess we have to keep waiting another month, praying to God that the next one my sister will become current. PD 3/27/2006. Good luck to everyone.
