hey Patientman!! yes u can do your medicals before your case becomes current.embassies in different countries may have different rules though. the medicals are valid for six months, if you sure your case is going to be current soon you can get it ready...i know its a long wait for everyone, no one wants to wait longer once your case becomes current. therefore i am trying to get myself ready with all the docs which embassy asks in packet 3.

can anyone tell me what might embassy ask in packet 3.

i have only got my police check and medicals done.. what else ppl?????? any inputs will be appreciated.

Hi there Mukunda F1,

Thanks for the feedback. I wasn't sure one could do the medical earlier. I might call the medical clinic here in London to see if they would schedule a time before the case is current.

My PD is end of March, and hoping that I would get there IL if not this month (one can always hope :) ), the next month.

Based on what folks from this forum that recently did their interviews, you would most likely also need to bring an updated affidavit of support.

That could be required if it has been more than 1 year since your case was approved.

Good luck

There are people waiting, but the thing is it seems like we have to wait till Monday afternoon or Tuesday to see who gets IL.

They wont send it out on Sunday.

So hang in there another day and you will be happy like a bunny.

I just read an article that can be found at blog.mygcvisa.com/2013/02/new-updates-from-charles-oppenheim-dos.html?m=1

It described Charles Oppenheim's predictions on Visa Bulletin Movements for eb category. There is a paragraph that has the following:

We strongly believe that these predictions were made around Feb 11 or Feb 12. This is few days before the demand data was updated with 18,000 spillovers from FB category to EB Category. So his prediction would not include 18,000 spillovers (and hence future date movements).

Shouldn't the spillover in visa numbers be used to process more people in the fb category until the category becomes current?

what basis would they use to take spillover from one category and give it to another category?

:) Totally wrong by the blogger.

Mr CO, never said the "spill over" (if any) will move over to EB category.

It is the incorrect assumption by the Blogger. Even their link shows that they are wrong.

I guess the person could not see the difference between F and E.

http://www.travel.st...ical_Limits.pdf clearly says: Unused numbers can "fall-down" from F1 to F2A to F2B to F3 to F4.

Unused F4 numbers can "fall-up" to F1.

So nothing to worry about. Don't believe everything you see online.

They don't even provide the name of the person who wrote it, so go figure.

Hello Patientman,

Please check your consulate website for Medicals and PCC requirement. I was required to carry my interview letter for my medical appointment. I am not sure if one can have their medicals done without having their IL in hand.

Good luck

I see your consulate is going to be London and that is different from the mumbai consulate.

This is what i found for London embassy

"

When and Where

The medical examination is performed by an Embassy approved physician at one of two medical centers in London. The medical examination cannot be performed by the applicant's own physician. The medical results are couriered to the Embassy within 5 workdays of the examination.

The medical examination must take place before the visa interview. The Embassy will not schedule the interview until they have received the results of the medical examination. "

Thank you KaviF1,

I guess every embassy's rule are different.

I have looked at the embassy's (in London)medical exam section, only thing I can find is that I need to quote the case number when calling to make the appointment (obviously).

But its no big deal, no major rush at the moment. I just need to order my PC next week, cause that might take 2 weeks or so.

At the moment, hoping to hear good news from the other guys and gals in front of me in the F1 queue. Once they confirm they got their IL then its time to start preparing.

vini!! when is ur pd?

is it current or not yet? mine is 22 feb 06. i am little confused aboutt who sends the IL ?? is it NVC or local embassy in respective countries??

As far as i have been told by NVC is they will forward the file to the respective embassies only when the case becomes current. In my case i need to wait for Aprils bulletin which sud be due in fewwwww dyzz. Once the embassy gets the file then they will process it and send packet 3 to me.

i might be wrong but guys who have previous experience share ur thoughts..cheers!!
