Aaydrian thanks for the input but I'm a little different from the norm.. My case was backlogged... I was interviewed already and everything just to get the visa stamped then retrogression for over 24 months... Calling the DOS would not help me at this point theywill refer me back to the embassy in Ja.. The thing with the Jamaican embassy us that for the immigrants u can onlyemIl them and hope they will respond.. They usually respond to me so I wAs sort of waiting.. Like Oli said trying to be patient and not rush them u know giving them the 30 day period to see if I will be contacted.. But as Oli said patience is running out! So I am sending an email off to them right now!

Will let u know the outcome.. It's still not too late for them to send me the IL or give me a call with an appointment date..

Oh I see. I would still call DOS since ALL the system is linked. If no matter where your file is at (NVC/embassy) DOS (or the site I linked)

can still tell you where you are in the process eg you're in admin processing or that your visa has been issued why wouldn't they be able to give you a simple status update? It's not like your status is blank and you wouldn't be asking them them to solve your problem; you just want to know what you're dealing with.

30 days to respond? Unless they specifically told me that, I would badger them with an email everyday. Anyway when you send that email you should get an auto response. Within that response you are told if none of the info addresses your situation you are to send your original email again with the subject of the second email being '2nd inquiry + the case number'. Then you wait 5 working days for the embassy to reply. If they don't reply in 5 business days email them everyday (what I would do). Read the auto response to see what I'm talking about.

The good thing is tomorrow is March 1 and you are trully current so they have no excuse.

Just an update I called NVC since my priority date is current as of today but they said that they're waiting on the Embassy to schedule the appointment. So I guess I have to do some more waiting but at least I know I'm current. Good luck to all of those with interviews in March and to those next in line!

Hi Essy_A, What do you mean that you are current? What is your PD? Why you haven't received your interview letter?, Sorry for so many questions.

My PD is 2/13/06 which is current for March. I should have received my IL in February, but nothing and every time I called NVC they would say that they're working on the February calendar. I called this morning since it's now March and they said that even though I was current they were waiting on the Embassy to schedule the appt. They said it was all about the embassy capacity and what not. The rep advised me to call every other week since they receive updates on a weekly basis.

There are people waiting, but the thing is it seems like we have to wait till Monday afternoon or Tuesday to see who gets IL.

They wont send it out on Sunday.

So hang in there another day and you will be happy like a bunny.
