I need four weeks movement for my PD to be current in March but if they keep moving at this rate then I'm looking at April. I know I've already waited so long and a few months is not bad but I'm getting so anxious!

Krish you were right with the prediction once again.. We will be for March including JulieMc and Tommy17...

Yeah...as i predicted most probably it would be 15 Jan and it happened same...Now, i am getting ready as i'm just 2 days back....so even if it moves 1 week it wont affect me. But, i really hope it moves more than a month....There r alot of guys waiting since years and really this waiting sucks. I'have alrady started to prepare.....talked with my petitioner abt latest job letter and tax returns....I'will get those soon before this month end....Now, just to see when they start sending I/Ls for March...Most probably they will start from 28th or 29th coz Feb has only 28 days so they should start earlier i predict...people will get less time if NVC start sending I/Ls from Feb starting...Now, just waiting for another 3 weeks....

Yea I agree with you to get the documents ready... Seeing my case was completed before I wonder if I will be getting an IL or a call from the embassy...

Remember they always start from back...so the date before cutoff date will get I/L first and the date which will be far back from the published cutoff date will get I/L afterwards....But within 1-2 days we all will get our I/Ls...so, i would recommend all who r going to be current next month to start preparing from now..And whoever receive I/L first inform us....

It is very unlikely to see 6-8 weeks movement...But i can predict 3-5 weeks maximum...not more than that. They will move PDs steadily now coz they dont want another retrogression...

PS. I noticed that F1-Philippines had a nice jump from 22DEC97 to 08MAR98

Whats interesting is that Mexico has been moving 1 week per month over the last 3 months.

15/July 93 - 8/July 93 - 1/July 93.

With per country limit set to 7% or so, means 1638 visa are pretty much allocated to them.

Same for Philippines.

23400 - (2*1638) = 20124 visa/year for Rest of the world (including China and India)

The applications for Mexico are from 20 years ago and 15 year for Philippines.

What percentage of those do you think are Single (or have recently made them selves single :) ) ?

And I don't think people proactively tell NVC of their Civil status and that it might have changed.

Question is, once NVC calls people for interview, and possibly during the interview finds out that the person married or something, how long does it take for the visa number being reallocated

back to the category? or do they reallocate it at all?

Anyway, my early guesstimate for next VB is Feb 08 or even worse, Feb 1.

Yeah, if it keeps moving at the same pace next bulletin will be 8-Feb-06

My optimistic side is hoping for a forecast of 4-6 weeks in the next bulletin!

Good luck to those next in line:

I think that the VB for March will take us back to the dates before retrogression occurred. I doubt that it will move only one or two weeks and I think they will keep in line with their projections and not move out of the times that they predicted..

I am so very happy they are moving.

I certainly hope so and hope for 4 and more movements, but as said before, trying to lower my expectation and anything more is blessing and bonus.

They said 3-4 weeks and twice we had 3 weeks, so lets hope for 4 weeks + this time.

Also I think in next months VB, they might give new guidance too.
