I think it's hilarious when folks post on P&R or OT all day long and go back and forth with the same people (cause let's be honest, it's usually the same people on the opposite sides of every issue) and then say something like, "I'm not going to argue with you."

Dudemanbro, you argue with me all day every day. That's why we're here!

Where'd you see the pics of my wife? (I'd like to see 'em too!)

We may come up to AK someday. I'd like to move there. I'm fully convinced no matter how crazy it gets in the lower 48, AK won't change too much!

I was fighting another battle. And looking at pictures of hot chicks!

Yeah, I also find it a bit funny. That's why I don't say 'I'm not going to argue w/ you.'

Anyway, serious time now. Time to take the elevator to the pavement.

"I want to take this opportunity to mention how thankful I am for an Obama re-election. The choice was clear. We cannot live in a country that treats homosexuals and women as second class citizens. Homosexuals deserve all of the rights and benefits of marriage that heterosexuals receive. Women deserve to be treated with respect and their salaries should not depend on their gender, but their quality of work. I am also thankful that the great, progressive state of California once again voted for the correct President. America is moving forward, and the direction is a positive one."

Ya dude, calm it down homey. No reason to get upset... unless of course, you're a racist- and beyond these laws (that I also hope to see go away sooner rather than later!), I've not seen much indication you're that kind of bigot.

Remember, I like these laws in place just to make the racists angry. Hope you're not a part of that crowd, seriously. One day I hope we can all move past the need to have them. Friends?

The racist imo would be the person backing a racist law. I could be wrong of course...but...

No hard feelings. It was a fun yet a stressful debate. This affirmative action has affected me and people I know/related to, etc... in more ways than one...and none of them in a good way. it's a touchy subject at the union hall, job site, bar, etc...

I hope to see these laws taken out soon. You know why? Because that would indicate that the level of bigotry in this country has gotten to a level where it didn't influence employment and academic-affecting decisions along racial lines. And we know that isn't going to happen any time soon.

I was trying to honestly stimulate your working towards taking action against ineffective employees at your place of employment- independent of race or AA status (as it should be). If you make it an angry issue about race, you won't be taken serious at all. Kind of like when people that sweat racism here say they're not so, but post after post betray their seething hatred of minorities.

Even if you have to involve the media, documenting unsafe workers... its something. People tend to work well when the cameras are around.

This could have been a good discussion about the article written by Pat Buchanan. It is sad that in this country you cannot be critical of any minority without being called a racist or a bigot. You cannot be critical of the person be it because of the person’s record, policies, behavior, ideology or any other characteristics.

However, if the minority is conservatively oriented, then it is acceptable to attack that person with vigor at any and all levels, (for example Clearance Thomas, J.C. Watts, Allen West and a growing list of people with conservative ideas and beliefs that incidentally are black, or to be pc- African-American. But note - the gentlemen mentioned would correct that and say they are Black Americans and not hyphenated Americans.)

It is concurrently sad and humorous for me to observe one complain about racism and declare how many bigots there are in America. Unless you grew up in the Deep South in the 60’s and 70’s as I did you have no idea what racism really is. Unless you have seen good people have crosses burned in their yard for giving a black person a ride home after school you don’t have a clue. Until you have dealt with the mentality of KKK members on a neighborhood level you don’t have a basis to stand on or true experience to speak from.

To say that a person is racist because they disagree with some policies of the president is a position only a person operating on a much uninformed set of opinions would have. Those opinions are probably based on the continual vitriol spewed out by the left, which repeated as often as they are does turn in to a form of brain washing. Of course the brain washed person never realizes or admits they are brain washed.

To such an uneducated person, if I say “I don’t really like rap or hip-hop” then to the modern “every white person is secretly a racist except for us enlightened folk” liberal, then yes I am a racist too.

Quick comment about the topic of this thread, maybe intelligent discourse can follow -

It is not racist to questions a politician on credentials. President Bush was often questioned during his term in office as we know and remember and again reviewed in the article this thread is about. I personally think the birther issue was very unproductive for all involved, but I don’t at all see how it can be thought of as racist.

President Obama’s apparent reluctance to release his long form birth certificate was not reluctance at all, but a highly calculated political move by the political policy makers for the President to give certain elements in the news media a chance to use the issues as a childish continuation of a prissy- fit. It reminds me of a petty argument between children. One child making a possible legitimate case against the other child and the accused child not being able to offer an intelligent answer but instead just spewing names about the other child in an attempt to defend themself.

In this case, the news media never asked the questions, “why doesn’t the President just release this form and move on with his life”, no they wanted the argument to continue so that they could use every possibility to scream a shrill scream about how “racist” the birther side is and by default every conservative. The media knew that in the mind of so many people that would resonate well. With the lack of mental resources so many people that lean left have, the term “racist” is very effective in swaying opinion or in this case, keeping the true believers in line. (The kool-aid drinkers are what they are sometimes referred to.) Donald Trump called their hand and put an end to this childish chapter of this President’s legacy.

As the article points out, hate speech is alive and well in the US. The left is using hate speech at every opportunity they have to use it in attempt to keep the country divided, but not along racial lines but along left and right lines.

Oh yes, those nasty socialist librulsI who don't want to see a black person succeed at anything on their own merits. What libruls thrive on is having blacks worship them, which is why they support stupid affirmative action laws, laws that promote dependence in black folks, (a latent genetic characteristic), ensure they always vote socialist and discriminate against decent white folks who are being prevented from taking up places in academia and elsewhere that are rightfully theirs because the black folks only get in with the help of discriminatory laws. The left is indeed heinous and should be abolished, or at best sent to California and a wall built between them and us.
