I find this all very odd, American's complaining about gas prices. Are you suggesting that since Obama took office that all of a sudden gas prices are at the behest of Government? Surely, it's a free market and they are doing what they will do? Intervention from government is surely the absolute last thing you would be wanting?

John Peterson, R-Pennsylvania, has formed the House bipartisan "energy working group."House Speaker Nancy Pelosi Thursday blamed the "two oil men in the White House," President Bush and Vice President ####### Cheney, and their Republican allies in Congress for gas prices exceeding $4 a gallon.

Pelosi, a California Democrat, said multiple initiatives intended to lower high energy costs have passed the Democratically controlled House only to "run into a brick wall" in the Senate because they did not receive the 60 votes needed to overcome Republican filibusters.

"The price of oil is... is attributed to two oil men in the White House and their protectors in the United States Senate," Pelosi said in an interview with CNN's Wolf Blitzer.

I live in Cowboy Land and I am the only hombre in town with one of then cissie car things.

Everybody else has a 10 foot high truck with a submarine welded across the front and a V8 engine

They will just reallocate their spending from giving the money to the 'needy undocumented aliens fund', to their 'huge dopy truck gasoline fund'

This means the aliens will have to go back and if you believe the tea party, this will actually save the country money and improve the economy

I have only a 2-mile commute to work, so I can ride a bicycle to work and sometimes I do! Not to save money on gas, mind you, but to stay in shape!

But I have to drive a lot for my job, so $30 per day is normal for me. No biggie.

If I was the ruler of this country, I would add a $1.00-per-gallon federal tax on fuel immmediately, and another $1.00 per gallon 1 year later. Too expensive for you? No problem, drive less, walk or bike more, and buy a fuel efficient car, for crying out loud!

But in case you care what all that extra cash: I provide free health care for every American!

I agree with your observation from the POV of people that drive gas guzzlers.

So why was $3 gas a crisis when Bush was President and $5 gas is not when Obama is president?

Alla drives a car that gets 36 miles/gallon 8 miles each way to school. Cheaper than the bus actually. Most of my driving is in a company truck paid for by them. Who cares?

Higher gas prices = less cars on the road = more road for me = less time (and gas) to get to work. Yay!
