Hello;

Where can I find the necessary information regarding the state of a parent's health condition so that I am able to petition them.

My parents are both healthy. But dad has controlled diabetes - NOT INSULIN but he takes tablets to control his diabetes.

Health insurance is no problem. So please don't question that!!

I just need to know the source to read about petitioning a parent with diabetes.

AND Yes I already know I have to be a USC before I file for my parents to come over. Like I said, I'm just gathering information for now.

There is no particular source- as long as the disease isn't transmitable easily, you can petition them, as you have the health ins covered.

As Penguin noted, diabetes (any type) is not an inadmissible disease, so they would not be denied on health grounds.

Read the Foreign Affairs Manual section on the "public charge" requirement:

40.41 Public Charge

40.41 Notes

40.41 Procedural Notes

The "Notes" section is the most useful as it provides the specific guidance which Department of State officials use in determining if the "public charge" requirement has been met.

They won't deny someone on the "public charge" requirement for health reasons unless there's compelling evidence that the beneficiary is going to become a public charge. For example, if the beneficiary has a severe chronic illness and the petitioner can't demonstrate sufficient income to pay for the beneficiary's care and treatment, or if it appears the beneficiary will need long term institutional care.

You can always submit evidence of health insurance that will cover the condition.
