My Fiance tried to order his long form birth certificate, but it won't let him without a guarantor. Is that really needed? Can it be a family member? What if he doesn't really know anyone in the listed professions?

I had a little difficulty with that (not having a doctor or dentist that's known me long enough), but discovered my friend's mom is a signing authority at a bank. Hopefully you can find someone!

I don;t remember specifically doing it, but I used my dentist for almost anything I needed a guarantor for at the time.

Yeah you need it, I was freaking out about that as well because I didn't know anyone either, no reg doctor or dentist.

I ended up using my friend who was a legal aid because she could notarize things

start asking around maybe your parents know someone there are a lot of people that can do it, any peace officer(police, by law officer ect) for example
