Hello guys,

My fiancee is coming in June. Yehey!! . Our plan is to get a civil wedding in the states and having a church wedding in the Philippines. Her mom and my fiancee want our big wedding celebration in the Philippines.(At a resort outdoor kind of wedding..yehey!!!)

Are there any issues with that when we apply for the GC?

just curious, have you been able to find any information about K-2 interview for the child in Philippines?

She is going to the Phil. next week. I asked her to make few phone calls. To call USEM and ST. Lukes and we will take it from there.

Annabelle and I are doing the same thing. She is here now and we will be married by a pastor here in June at a small wedding with my family. Then in 2 years we will go back to the Philippines and have a big church wedding and reception with her family in her province. We already spoke to the Monsignor who will marry us there and he agreed to the arrangement. So no worries about that I think.

Just for clarification purposes, you can have a wedding ceremony in the Philippines, but you cannot get legally married if you are are already married.

Having a wedding ceremony after your contractual wedding is not an issue with getting a greencard.

Nice! We are planning in 1 or 2 year also. Maybe June 2012. Two years after our engagement.
