I'm not comparing apples to oranges at all. Try again:

In a still somewhat racist country, sometimes it takes some counterweight to even things out. Again, just look at this whole birther #######, the now newly inflaming debate about the whether there was any academic justification for the President to be able to attend some of the nation's finest schools. Can you sit there and tell me with a straight face that either of these debates would ever have taken place if this President was white?

If I work hard for years for something and then get screwed out of that something by someone who had inferior scores just for the fact I'm white...well #######???

You make those smart a$$ post like you don't know which direction the wind is blowing. There have been guys with family's barely getting by. They went to night school taking welding, math, and blue prints so that they could get into the union and make a better life for them and their family. They aced all the test in regards to getting into the apprenticeship yet they were totally f*cked over for the fact the union needed to make their quota.

Anyone who has ever spent any amount of time with government... of any level knows thats the last place one needs an affirmative action program.

It is no secret (as Jesse JAckson recently reminded us) that Black are "over represented" in the public service work force.

IN many areas across this country many of the people doing the hiring for the Government ARE MINORITIES.... in fact in many places and departments they could stand a little diversity... perhaps their should be an affirmative action program to hire a few white or Asians.

We spend hundreds of millions of tax dollars on the -Equal Employment Opportunity commission.

IF someone is being unfairly passed over for employment, this expensive arm of Government should be their remedy.... not taking a job other citizens who had no roll in any wrong doing.

Can you sit there with a straight face and tell us that the attacks, slanders, and cheap shots from the Left directed at GWB would have occured if he were not a conservative Republican? Bush's intellect was often cruelly slammed.

Erm... What? Bush got slammed because he presented himself in a way that led people to question his intelligence. Cruel? Perhaps, but it's the highest job in the land and the guy couldn't string a sentence together nor did he have the ability to comport himself in a halfway professional manner. Bush's academic record was also questioned because it seemed that his father pulled a lot of strings to get him into Yale, not to mention getting him out Vietnam.

Naturally bush being a conservative republican (though conservative republicans do dispute this) he was going to be the target of partisan attacks.

The real problem with Bush was his war in Iraq. Had he not started that, people might remember him more kindly.

Let's not pretend that this has any equivalence to personal criticisms directed toward Obama that are clearly rooted in racial prejudice.

At the end of the day, none of this is anything but a sideshow.

It's easy to prove Peejay, all one need do is listen to what is being said.

For instance:

The accusations thrown at Obama during the election about being a Muslim and some sort of manchurian plant, were not directed towards any of the other candidates. Noone seemed to care about anyone else's middle name, only Obamas because it sounded foreign. And the usual talking heads in the media seemed to want people to know about it. Why do you suppose that is?

I get it though peejay. The US media has taught a lot of Americans that double-talk and relativism are standard political discourse, hence you can't or rather aren't willing to see the difference between one set of criticisms - about bush being stupid, which were at least based on how bush conducted himself in public; and a different set of criticisms about Obama that are based on nothing more than innuendo to suggest that he isn't a 'real' American.

Dude, America is still a pretty racist country. The tea baggers and more specifically the birthers bring that to light. They cannot stand the fact that black man occupies the White House. That's what all this ####### is all about. Which white President had to prove his eligibility for office?
