Police Certificate from Russia

Hi guys, I hope someone can help me with this: my fiancee is a citizen of Uzbekistan. She resides in St Peterbusg, Russia (last 3 years). Now looks like NVC will send the documentation to the mbassy in Moscow in couple of weeks.

She did receive police certficate from Uzbekistan. She has another one from local police in St Petersbug, dated Novemebr 2, 2010 (we were too optimistic on NOA2 at that time). She went back to that station for another one last week (April 22, 2011) and its usually issued in 1 month period. Those are only two places she reside in the past.

I have 2 questions: first, for how long Russian police certificate is valid- 3, 6 months or longer?

Second, Moscow Embassy site indicates police station in Moscow to obtain the certificate from MVD , which is the ministry of interior for the whole country, with unclear language for local stations. Does anyone know if she has to obtain one from Moscow?

I appreciate any help,

Police Certificate is valid for 6 months.

And she can obtain it in the local MVD office.

Police Certificate is valid for 6 months.

This is incorrect.

Regardless of the validity date listed on a particular police certificate, the U.S. Embassy considers the document valid for one year from the date of issuance.

Police certificates are valid at the consulate for one year, regardless of any date on the certificate

This is incorrect.

Regardless of the validity date listed on a particular police certificate, the U.S. Embassy considers the document valid for one year from the date of issuance.
