US Citizen filing for an Indian Wife (Advice Needed)

Hi All,

I am a US Citizen and recently got married to an Indian. I plan to file for her GC (IR-1/CR-1) on arrival to the US.

Can anyone tell me what documents should I get for my spouse with me.

This is what I have

1) Our Marriage Certificate

2) Her passport, birth certificate and photos

Do I need to get the police clearance certificate at this initial stage to get the process started or would it be required for her interview in India? Does anyone know of the approximate processing times?

Any advice would be helpful.

Police certificate is needed at the NVC stage which is about 5 months after you submit your petition. The whole process takes about 7-9 months if all goes well
