Hi,

I live in minnesota and we filed the papers in may also(may23) it was received at the lockbox on may 25th. havent yet received NOA, and nor is the check cashed(LoL its the first time i am waiting for money to leave my bank account). Normally i have heared it is taking about 3-4months for the whole process to be finished. anyone from Mn who has filed before me and have the timeline would really help me figure out how long my files will take. also does anyone know whats the luckiest case, that is which case was the fastest to be received and approved. Also is one state quicker than the other or it dosent matter where you live?

Thanks

[/q

I am from Minnesota. I filled for AOS on May 17th and I haven't got a biometrics appointment. My case status says "Initial Review". Below is my timeline.

04/10/2011: I-130 received @ Chicago lockbox

04/12/2011: Confirmation email & texts received

05/17/2011: I-485,I-765 & I-131 received @ Chicago lockbox

05/23/2011: Confirmation email & texts received.

I haven't heard anything from USCIS since May 23rd. Today is July 11th. That really hurts.

Hi samvilles... Yea that is kinda weired. I filed on May 26th i did my biometrics on Jun16 and I got my letter for interview last week for aug 19th :).. I still havent received my ead card though. But I have heard a lot of people are getting interview letter before ead card. Why did you file I 130 before than 485 and 765? normally you are suppose to file them together, i wonder if that is the reason for the delay? I wish you hear something soon!

Hi everybody,

My wife is currently in the US on an F-1 student visa. We were married on March 24, 2011. I mailed the adjustment of status packet to the Chicago lockbox on May 13th, with delivery confirmed on the 14th. That was a Saturday, so I assume no one took a look at it until at least the following Monday, May 16th. I have not yet received any notification (either via e-mail or text) and the checks have not been cashed. How long should I expect to wait to hear something? It seems most people have a fairly quick turn around. If I don't hear anything within a reasonable timeframe, what should my next step be?

Thanks!

Ours was 1 month before they acknowledged receipt, phone call indicated their was a 30 day wait, ead approved within 30 of biometrics, still waiting for aos interview or gc.

In Arizona its hot hot hot.

I'm sorry to hear that you didn't receive your biometrics appointment but at the same time I'm glad you took the initiative to go to Application Service and they took immediate action upon your request. I hope everything goes smooth from here for you.

Hi Kevzil,

I thought you were adjusting from K-1 cause on the left window, it says K-1. So I'm guessing you're adjusting from F-1? So do I. I thought there is only one interview for the AOS process.

Best Wishes,

moSu
