So tragic - really hits home. This is Wadi and me at Argana the last time we were in Marrakech. No doubt the beautiful tiling is now in smithereens.

It does really hit home. We've been there & when my brother in law called today he was remembering when he and his wife were there.

Just horrible, self serving and senseless violence and hatred.

On a lighter note that's a great picture jenn.

Its awful. Me and hubby have family there, and they are all ok thank goodness.

I just told them to stay away from there and all tourist areas as of now.

Those types of mentality usually attack tourists for whatever reason.

So senseless.

I haven't found a source, but I heard of one couple that was killed - she was Israeli and he was Moroccan. She was pregnant and they had left their two-year-old with family when they went to Marrakech. :(

It makes you truly understand the reasons extremism needs to be policed and snuffed out. When someones idea of religion interferes with other peoples right to live, go out, enjoy life, then that practice has become extreme.. I just watched a video of the argana on youtube. It makes you really understand that the average every day Moroccan has no patience or tolerance for religious extremism. The wahabist saudi islam that has been imported there and supported by Saudi Arabia is what started all of this. Years ago, no Moroccan would ever dream of harming anyone.. there was no craziness. This is Al Qaeda in the magreb ####### and funded by Wahabists and another reason that hunting down Bin Laden and his friends has been so necessary. This is not based in Morocco. This is wahabist funded foreign supported terror
