:unsure: So we dropped off the docs, they kept the docs, his passport and told him to pay for visa package courier service... BUT they didn't have him sign ds-230 now i'm worried. I wonder what's going to happen next :unsure:

And guess what? the lady who took our documents gave us a hard time about accepting the photocopy of my sponsor's resident card. She said "it's not supposed to have a picture in the back, we see these everyday and it doesn't look like that", my husband explained it was the NEW kind and that picture is a hologram on the metallic strip on the back of the card. How can they not know this? :bonk:

good luck Terca!!!!

I replied to the islamabad embassy email stating they didnt have our documents....i replied that we sent them via their courier on june 20 and have a receipt and unsure of where they are would they prefer me to email them the scanned documents instead.

They replied this morning they did in fact receive them and have sent them to our CO for review. They will contact the applicant accordingly....

I pray that now the attorney made it clear about me not supporting my oldest child that they can now verify we have 5 on our 864 and i meet the criteria per their own guidelines.

Just want some good news soon...just want to have approval pending ap results instead of total unknown....

Just realised the US embassy is having a Looooong weekend with July 4th on Monday and tomorrow being Canada. This is a long weekend i am not looking forward to! This process has ruined weekends for me! Hope that changes soon. :star:

Immigrate2US.com has a good section also on waivers and such immigrate 2 us.com I'm not advocating for them, just has different information handled in a different light. Best wishes as we may/may not be in the same boat. Might also see about securing/sourcing a lawyer if the waiver will be complicated. Best wishes!

Thank u bob, I really appreciate your advise and yes we do Hav a lawyer , I would definately post my status as the time goes by:) iv got to get the required docs from my husband and waiver fees so I'll keep updates

We called the Embassy's immigration visa unit number on the Embassy's website and gave them the info. They wouldn't tell us the result , just that the CO made his decision and that it would be mailed to us. They kept her passport at the interview, I pray that it was a good sign.......

Yeah it seems that with this whole process you submit and then wait...i hope you receive good news from their decision!!!!

Answered prayer :) my husband is approved for his visa interview last July 5 & received his visa July 8. Flight booked for July 12. :unsure: we are expecting our package to be delivered today, until I see that passport with visa inside i'm going to feel anxious... I keep thinking instead they might send us another invitation to the consulate to sign his ds-230 part 2 or something like that
