I started smoking when I was 8 years old (good friends  ) quit when I found out I was pregnant..didn't touch'em again until my son was 6 months old and everything we owned was reposessed due to my ex lying to me about paying the bills (still have no clue to this day as to what he did with the money)...continued to smoke around 1 pack a day until I met my husband....then i reduced it to half a pack a day for the last 9 months and one day, I had enough of having bad breath all the time, my clothes wreaking, coughing, having my yard littered with butts (i don't smoke in my home or car for the safety of my family). I quit smoking again on 8/02/06 and am doing just fine with the exception of withdrawl headaches and sparatic munching.

I did get some nicotene troches (medication you put between your cheek and gum and let it dissolve). They helped me thru the first week and now I don't use them at all. If anybody is interested in some nicotene troches, let me know...my pharmacy makes them and they cost around 1.00 each. all you need is a prescription from the doctor with what milligram they want you to have...you can even have ur doctor call my pharmacy and talk to the pharmacist about it...I'll be glad to mail them out :)......... They really helped me.....

Wow 8! I remember when I was 5 or 6 and I would hang out with a few older kids and we would occasionally smoke the butts they would steal from their parents ash trays. Eww! I stole a few from my mom when I was in 4th grade and then I didn't smoke again until I was in 11th grade where I smoked a few times with some friends, but didn't start smoking or buying my own packs until I was almost 19 in college. Tht's when I started smoking. Now it's been almost 3 years and I am ready to quit!
