During the I-129F petition wait I learned not to trust the estimated adjudication times here on VJ too much but my wife's biometrics appointment is May 12th and the estimated dates for AP and EAD are mid-late May (20-30.) Our timeline is up-to-date and includes the (future) biometrics appointment date, so I'm assuming this estimate takes into account the date of the biometric appointment?

Anyhow, what seems to be the average wait after the biometrics appointment for the EAD/AP approval? I'm also assuming they'll be approved together since the card issued is a joint EAD/AP card now..

Thanks.

And, I guess I can stop checking for updates on the USCIS website since I know nothing can/will be approved before biometrics are taken. I guess they could still transfer the AOS case to CSC before that but I think it's getting less likely now.

that is funny that you talk about the timeline because all of my adjudicated estimated times have been right on. and I would say it is about 30-60days after biometrics appt to approval of EAD/AP although we got our greencard first and never received EAD/AP....good luck to you!!!

Thanks.. I saw another person got their EAD/AP approval 2 weeks after biometrics and had the case transfered to CSC, so I guess that's still possible too!

As for the timeline, the original estimate was good - a late-August approval for a mid-April filer, but as we entered July, it was estimating a late-May to early-June approval because, for some reason, VSC was approving some May and June petitions within 8-20 days and really messing up the estimates. It was weird and a bit frustrating (at the time) to see that our case "may be approved" a month and a half before. laughing.gif

My K1 NOA2 stuff was SPOT on. Like to the DAY! AOS stuff I didn't really pay much attention to outside of "3 months is the norm" so I just waited.
