RFE after 4.5 months

Hi Everyone,

I came upon this site after applying for immigration. I checked the USCIS website today and there was an update. They mailed out a RFE today. But, at least they looked at our file. I am guessing we need to give more proof of our relationship since my fiance only submitted two pictures of us together.

It seems like VSC is picking up the speed. Hope you all get your approvals soon. =)

Possibly. It took about 5 days for us to get the RFE (I forgot to include my divorce papers ) but after overnighting the papers back, our case was approved just 4 days later. Looks like your at the end of the USCIS tunnel

As soon as you send them the documents they need, you'll be fine and will probably get your NOA2 very soon. I must say, your still lucky and congrats!

We got a RFE after the 5 months! And we have already sent them what they need.

I hope all of us can get the NOA2 soon! We have waited enough, hihihi....

At this stage they are only checking background of petitioner to see if you are eligible and if you can prove you've met within 2 years. I think all the relationship proof is done at embassy stage. Maybe they see something conflicting or a form not sign, i imagine something simple. I got one because i listed my ex with her english name and on the divorce decree had her legal name so they did not match, even though all the dates did. I had to send affidavits from friends saying they knew the two names were the same person.

Don't worry i am sure it is something simple.

Good luck - at least you got yours early in the process. We got ours after 6.5 months. Sent in our response the very same day - that was almost a week ago and nothing yet.

We got a RFE because we didn't send enough evidence that we met in the past 2 years. We actually only sent 2 pics as I mentioned above.

We have gathered all our proof i.e. airline/bus tickets, car rentals, hotel receipts, restaurant receipts, atm withdrawals made when he visited Canada and etc.

They also wanted an affidavit from a neighbour, friend or relative. I wanted to know if anybody ever sent in an affidavit? And, did you send an original document? We want to send the evidence asap. My fiance is visiting this weekend so we are planning to put everything together and mail out by Monday. But, we don't want to wait till we get originals of affidavits mailed from people we know. Would a scanned copy be sufficient or it has to be an original?

You guys have been a great help so far!! Hope everyone gets their NOA2 within an appropriate time frame. =)
