Hi all, I tried searching this topic but couldn't find what I was looking for. Hopefully somebody can shed a little light here. I'm in the process of nvc reviewing my paperwork and got an email back from them stating they need proof of ownership. I have the deed and plan to send it. I talked to my lawyer and he asked me if I'd like an appraisal for the house because they may ask for it. Has anybody been asked to present an appraisal? The last appraisal I had done was in 2008. Thanks for any help or input you may have.

If I were you, I'd send in the deed, and the 2008 appraisal (people don't appraise their houses but when they purchase them, and sell them typically), also, do you have mortgage documents at all?

I have the original paperwork from when I got the house. And the house is free and clear of any mortgage. They haven't asked for any of this but I don't want to delay of course so I'd like to send in whatever needed to move this along.
