Hi everyone, i hope someone can help me with my question.

we're filing for I129-f and thank God we just got approved last April 18.

We're getting ready for the K1 Visa application.

I worked at Qatar before and when we decided to file for I129f i got a police clearance from qatar not knowing that it will only be valid for 6 months. now its expired.

Now, do i need to get a new police clearance?

Can i not use the one that i have now since after i took that clearance i did not go there again?

And i've read somewhere here some people have taken police clearance from countries they've lived thru USEM.

If i have to get a new one, should i get it thru USEM?

I hope you can help me clear my mind on this. Thanks

Is it possible to use my old police clearance? or do i really need an updated one?

IMO, I will get for a new one. However, I suggest you email the US embassy in Manila IVManilaReplies@state.gov and explain the situation. Our case is not a usual K1,it's a bit complicated, so if I have confusion I email them and at the same time post my question here.

my guess is, when they say "thru USEM", the police clearance from other countries were sent directly to USEM..... but the application and all is sent out by the applicant (you)....

my advise is ....... get a new one...... better to be ready......

goodluck ......
