Can I ask where is your girl from? I am from Managua myself but honestly there isn't too much to see in the capital. The nice places are outside the capital. In Managua what she can do is go shopping, to the movies, things like that. She can take her daughter to Galeria Santo Domingo and have ice cream, if she's young she can ride the little train for kids. They can also shop and go to the movies there or hit Game Spot which is an arcade.

They can go to Metrocentro which is another sort of mall. They can also visit the Old Cathedral and the National Palace of Culture but I don't know if her daughter would be interested in that. Maybe there are other things that I'm not thinking about but in general Managua isn't dangerous however she shouldn't be walking at night if she doesn't know what area she's in. For example the famous bad neighborhood is called "Repart Shick" where there are gangs and stuff. During the day you can drive by and be fine but walking at night it's a different story.

I don't know what else to tell you... if you have questions let me know.
