Well, the Trojan horse that was Sarah Palin is already fading in the public consciousness, so The Donald is acting as a pretty good lightning rod for all the crazies out there. Compared to him, almost any other GOP candidate will appear downright reasonable in the eyes of the non-crazy voters.
