Timeline

Hello everybody, my husband and i is kind of worried because of the affidavit of support. anyways, this is the problem my husband ITR meet the required amount for the affidavit of support but his W-2 is behind for about $100+. Actually his ITR exceed on the required amount but his W-2 is behind. Do it means i will be turn down during my interview because his W-2 dont meet the required amount? oh gosh, we are really worried. please need some help here. God bless everyone

Why does the W2 report a different amount from the tax return ?

hi it is because my husband make some extra money that the government get tax from it too. his itr is not just from his job salary.

That should not be a problem then, if his income exceeds the 100/125% level.

It is good to see that he was honest enough to report the extra $100 income on his return.

Do you have records of where this money came from and is it ongoing? When submitting documentation along with the I-134 one should also submit evidence that is in line with circumstances. As well as the documentation requested by the consulate, if one has other documentation outside of this, then that too should be submitted.
