Hi, my Green Card & my Work Permit are still on pending status. I'm a little woried because my K1 visa expired on the 24th September '06 ! So after this date I'll be illegal if I not yet receive my cards before ? What I suppose to do ?

Thanks for your help !

Relax. It takes some people up to two years or even longer to get their Greencard, one month is like no time at all.

Removal of Conditions Timeline:

03/19/2008 - package sent to TSC, let's hope for the best

03/20/2008 - check cashed

03/26/2008 - case sent to Vermont Service Center

04/17/2008 - Biometrics scheduled

05/19/2008 - received I551 extension stamp via INFOPASS

02/12/2009 - APPROVED

02/21/2009 - GC received...no mistakes...valid until 2019

Ok, thanks !

But it's really too long !

It is not too long. It can take up to three years to get your Green Card.

Watch the processing dates for your District Office for I-485 for a better guess at how long *your* case *might* take.

Kezzie,

With, perhaps, one unusual exception. That exception 'expiring' either with marriage or 90 days after entry, whichever comes first. (I think we've seen the exception come into play at least once while I've been at VJ.)

Yodrak

Your K1 expired the day you entered the USA.... .....
