well after 5 months i called USCIS and put in a case for ' Outside normal processing time'

wrote, called and email my senator and my congressmen. they said they will look in to it.

my case is in CSC.

just wondering how many out there are at 6 months or am i the few unlucky ones?????

We just got off the phone with USCIS two hours ago and put in a service request.

And we also sent our Service Center, Ombudsman and Congressman an E-mail...

Lots. 6 months isn't unusual recently although it does seem to be speeding up a bit again. The flip side is things seem to be slowing down at NVC now :bonk:

Six months is the new "normal" or average. If you look at the timelines you will see that both service centers are averaging around six months wait. It is crazy and terrible, but it will probably stay this way for a long time. Immigration reform needs to become a higher priority.

09/21/10 - I-129F Sent!

09/23/10 - I-129F Received in Dallas, TX

09/28/10 - Text & E-mail NOA1 (It was at 12:44AM, weird) Notification that our case was transferred to VSC.

09/29/10 - Check cashed

09/30/10 - NOA-1 Hard Copy dated Sep. 27, 2010

10/03/10 - TOUCH!

After numerous calls to USCIS, my two Texas Senators and a Congressman, the latter got an "expedite" put through (if you can call a month and a week after ONPT an expedite). Just never let up! Even though mine took way too long, there were people who were a month before me and waited longer because they just sat back and watched. "The squeaky wheel gets the grease!"

03/31/11 - NOA-2!

04/05/11 - Received NOA-2 hard copy.

04/07/11 - NVC Received

04/12/11 - Case left NVC via DHL

04/14/11 - Consulate Received Hard Copy of Case

I recently joined VJ and have found comments extremely helpful. My husband & I originally applied for i129f K1 (VSC)Feb 2010 went thru the interview process and was told in Nov 1, 2010 that we filed the wrong petition. We refiled an i130 with NOA1 Nov 11, 2010. Since then our Feb 2010 case is being reviewed by VSC. They sent us an email April 21 2011 after a service request for outside processing stating our application has undergone all the necessary processing in CSC however they must relocate it (i130) to VSC. We called USCIS and they said we have to wait 62d from April 21 letter before requesting more information. This is very frustating and unexpected. Has anybody had this experience?
