RFE already???

Hey guys,

Well i just signed up for online email notification today and when i checked my emails just now (totally not expecting one from USCIS today!) it says:

Application Type: I485 , Application to Register Permanent Residence or to

Adjust Status

Current Status:

On September 6, 2006, we mailed a notice requesting additional evidence or

information in this case. The notice explains in detail what additional

material is needed. If you have questions about the notice, what is required,

or if 30 days have passed and you have not received the notice. Please contact

the service center where you submitted your application during business hours.

Where do the RFE's come from?? Lee's Summit?

They only received my package on 08/24/06 (NOA date), it just seems a little quick?? I'm thinkin its either about the medical (as i just sent a note explaining i had medical in london etc as didn't have vaccination record) or we used a co-sponsor so maybe its that......anyway hopefully it'll come soon!

Well i have my biometrics tomorrow at 9am so i'm off to bed!

Not sending the vaccination record would certainly trigger an RFE. That's probably it.

We got (2) RFEs after submitting our AOS package w/o vaccination suppliment. They were both for the co-sponsor form as (a.) we'd not included proof of citizenship/PR of co-sponsor and (b.) they wanted to see more documentation regarding his income. *shrugs*

I received a RFE via email but still hasn't come in the mail. That was Sept. 1. Where do they come from ? District Office ?????

hope yours doesn't turn out to be a big deal. as buttons, I'm still waiting for ours in the mail too, but considering the postal service... that could be awhile!

well, I received my RFE today. It stuff I sent in already for the I-864 guess I'll have to send it again. Do the tax transcripts have to come from the IRS or can they be the ones you print out yourself on the internet if you efile ?????

not sure about the transcripts... we had to phone the IRS line and get them ordered that way, it took about a week for them to arrive.

A word of advice for both Buttons and Sammy, when you are ready to send your RFE back to Lees summit, send it Express mail, after hearing all the problems M. went through with hers getting returned insufficient postage (even though it was sent first class and cost nearly $2). Express mail will cost much more ($14) but at least it should get there by the next day (I hope, although nothing is guaranteed in the RFE hell!!)

Most everyone is getting an RFE these days it seems. We are ready to mail our RFE stuff off tomorrow. It's unfortunate that the EAD is on hold, but the EAD is dependent on the AOS so that's the reason for it being held up.

Hope you get it in the mail soon Sammy. How's married life?

Does the EAD automatically get put on hold when you get a RFE??????? Doh....

We are loving married life thank you Karen!! Obviously it has its ups and downs but it is everything i hoped it would be

Hopefully you get it sorted soon Buttons...and hopefully mine arrives next week
