A common theme running through both Dailykos and Facebook commenters is that this release of the long form BC by the Obama WH is a huge victory for Trump. it almost certainly strengthens his position in the GOP primary race by demonstrating that he could do what no one else could.

It seems that Obama wants Trump to be the nominee. He wants it bad enough where he was willing to abandon a long-running battle against birthers and just let them have their victory under the leadership of The Donald.

i agree on both points. unfortunately for obama i don't think donald will run. i think he is going right up to the primaries then backing out & endorsing someone else. then sarah, donald & others will continue to fan the distraction flames while the actual GOP nominee consentrates on discussing policy differences.

I agree with most of that but I can't figure out why you would believe that the 2012 campaign will focus on policy. A lot would have to happen for that to occur.

Why is it a huge victory for Trump? Reality show stars = jokes. Don't care if he's a billionare (who has declared bankruptcy a few times).
