Thanks, Tanoushka!

Just wish the interview was earlier than mid July! sad.gif

We were lucky to go hrough London to be honest....there are other places where getting an appointment is more than that...But yeah I understand. Hang in there. get all your papers ready. The interview date will be there sooner than you think good.gif

We were approved yesterday! We are thrilled and believe it's nearly all over but we do have a little delay. We had a co-sponsor (my father in law), when we spoke to the NVC they asked my wife (USC) to send her birth certificate as proof of relationship between her and her dad, which we did. We even phoned a week later to check everything had arrived and everything was okay and were told that everything was fine, present and correct.

Yesterday at the interview they asked if we had evidence of co-sponsors US citizenship, which we did not. The guy that gave me the interview gave me all the required details, DX Courier telephone number etc and assured me that it does not take long once they receive the certificate and passport.

So excellent news, we were surprised just how easy the interview was. I had 2 question!

:D

We were also approved yesterday! :D:D I can't believe how easy and laid back the whole thing was. My interview was more like a 5 minute chat, that's all it was! They didn't ask for even half of the documents I took. So my advice for anyone is along as you have all your documents in order and are polite and honest, the interview is a breeze!!

Andy, it's funny to think we were at the embassy at the same time and could well have seen each other.

Congratulations to you too!

Mine was so easy too....and like you, they didn't ask for most of the papers I brought...not a financial support document...Can you believe it? tongue_ss.gif

I think the guide is 7-10 days, but it seems that people tend to get it quicker than that, around 3-4 days, but it depends where you are in the country (London gets it quickest, for example).

I think my timeline has it... but it was less than a week for me to get my visa and passport, bearing in mind my interview was on a Friday.

Edit: 6 days or 4 not including Saturday and Sunday. Bloody quick.
