Great, thanks. I made sure to tell him not to but wanted to confirm anyway. I keep having to explain the process to him and he comes up with a million and one questions so I start second guessing myself. Don't know what I'd do if this site didn't exist!

Haha Don't worry, I think everyone here second guesses every step of NVC, myself included. Even though what I knew was doing was correct, there was always a voice at the back of my head that said "no, that's not right!" But like you said, thankfully this site is here with plenty of help to make that voice go away.

We sent the Choice of Agent e-mail just minutes after getting our case # and IIN, I hope that we weren't too quick on the draw! If so, we'll wait, I'm just eager to be proactive with NVC. Anything I can do to shave time off this would be just grand.

It won't hurt your case that you sent the DS-3032 immediately. It just might not be accepted.

I sent my DS-3032 email later the same day that my husband got the IIN (time difference between US and Australia) and I got the confirmation email the next day.

Although, they did 'lock' me out of the online payment system later that day too. I logged on to the system as soon as I got the IIN just so I could see what the system looked like, wasn't expecting the invoices to be ready yet, and had no problem the first time. But when I tried again later that day I got an error message telling me that NVC was not able to continue processing on our case at this time. Sorted out the next day though...access first time and our AOS invoice was there ready to be paid.

Still second-guess everything I do too! Same thing with my husband...I've explained everything I know to him a million times, but then whenever we get to the next step he asks what we need to do now lol! Guess he's just the same as me...needs reassurance that we are doing everything right.

IV Package (DS-230) question: Who is supposed to mail this to the NVC? Petitioner or Beneficiary? I assumed that my wife (beneficiary) would mail all her documents from Bucharest, but since I will be Choice of Agent, should she mail all the required documents for the IV package to me now?

IV Package (DS-230) question: Who is supposed to mail this to the NVC? Petitioner or Beneficiary? I assumed that my wife (beneficiary) would mail all her documents from Bucharest, but since I will be Choice of Agent, should she mail all the required documents for the IV package to me now?

My husband got the email from the NVC with the info package and DS3032 w/ barcode this morning, YAY!. I told him to go ahead and send the choice of agent email again but I will most likely send off the hard copy form I had him sign for me ages ago via express mail too just in case they still won't accept his email.

My question is: has anyone made their own barcode thing and sent that in? Did they accept the barcode you made? The DS3032 I had him sign back in november obviously doesn't have the barcode so I'll have to make one before I send it off. Don't want to waste my time/money sending it if it won't be accepted. Thanks!

you usually find out the day after you send the email if the accepted it. so just hang on before you snail mail it.

I had checked the NVC automated voice system last yesterday, and it said they had no record of our case. I just now checked it, not expecting anything new on a weekend, and it gave me the case number. Woot.

Yay, congrats!

My husband and I have been getting emails from them today...first the DS3032 and now the AOS invoice. I've already prepared for all of these steps well in advanced but I can't help but feel a little flustered because it's all kind of happening so quickly. I think I've already gotten too used to the snail pace of the USCIS!

Reading the guides I think they say to submit originals for all of the docs regarding the IV application....but what about the supporting docs for the AOS? I think I read that the Employment Letter has to be the original but should I be sending the original tax transcripts too? I'm assuming that copies of my pay stubs are fine as opposed to originals so I'm mostly worried about the tax transcripts being the originals or copies. Thanks!

I believe the tax trascripts can be original or copies. But we just sent the originals as we didn't need them. And if we ever needed transcripts again, we can just order them from the IRS for free. So save some paper and send the originals

We just paid our IV fee this morning, yay! Only thing now is to wait until it shows as "paid", then we can e-mail off our IV package

When it shows as paid, I assume that's when the DS-260 becomes available to fill out?
