Umm...kinda yeah...not really lol!

I'm pretty well packed I think, but I've had to re-pack twice in an attempt to stay under the weight and baggage allowance lol. And trying to think of everything I might need is difficult...it's not a quick trip back if I forget something!

But I'm sure it will be ok.

I'm so glad I didn't have any weight or baggage allowances since I drove across the border and to my husband. The only thing I had to keep in mind was that I had to make sure it all fit in the car laughing.gif

11/07/2010: NOA1, Priority Date

11/09/2010: Touched

11/16/2010: I-797C, Notice of Action received

03/15/2011: Touched

04/10/2011: Sent email to my Democrat congressman

04/15/2011: Sent email to my Republican senator

04/26/2011: NOA2 - Approved

04/30/2011: NOA2 - Received in mail

NVC JOURNEY

05/06/2011: NVC received case from USCIS

05/06/2011: NVC case number assigned

05/09/2011: Received IIN and Beneficiary ID number via email

05/09/2011: Emailed DS-3032 and optin email

05/09/2011: AOS bill invoiced and paid

05/10/2011: AOS bill shows PAID

05/10/2011: NVC accepted wife's DS-3032 email

09/02/11: Received Perment Resident card & another Welcome Notice (dated 08/25/11)

I-751 ROC: 118 Days

06/29/13: Mailed Package

10/25/13: ROC Approved

N-400:

05/21/14: Mailed Package

06/06/14: NOA - Biometrics Appt 06/20/14

06/11/14: Biometrics done early (walk-in)

01/29/15: Interview Appt.

1 Dec 2010 - I-130 received at Chicago

18 Apr 2011 - APPROVED!! NOA2 text and email

NVC

29 Apr 2011 - Case entered into the system/Case number assigned; Medical Exam in Sydney

30 Apr 2011 - Police Check Application sent

2 May 2011 - Called NVC and got Invoice ID number

3 May 2011 - Sent DS-3032 email

4 May 2011 - Received email reply from NVC for DS-3032; Received Medical Exam results

5 May 2011 - AOS invoiced and paid

7 May 2011 - AOS package sent; IV invoiced and paid

9 May 2011 - AOS package delivered to NVC according to tracking

20 May 2011 - RFE for missing IV package....still waiting on Police Certificate!

24 May 2011 - Received Police Certificate after 25 days (so much for 7-10!); IV package sent

27 May 2011 - IV package delivered according to tracking

8 Jun 2011 - RFE for original marriage certificate; requested supervisor review since we KNOW it was in the package!

30 Jun 2011 - SIF and CC - FINALLY!!!!

13 Jul 2011 - Interview date assigned! Scheduled for August 9th @ 10am

9 Aug 2011 - Interview - APPROVED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

12 Aug 2011 - Visa in hand

24 Aug 2011 - POE @ LAX

I MADE IT!! :dance:

POE last Wednesday through LAX - was pretty straight forwrd and easy. I was actually the only person in the 'New Immigrant' line at 10.30am - that's gotta be a first lol!

Anyway, I am home now and settling in. Hasn't quite sunk in yet that I don't have to leave anytime soon! Would have been nice though if Texas hadn't turned up the heat on the poor girl coming from winter in Australia lol! It was 107 here this past weekend! Thank god for air-con!!

Anyway - hope everyone else is well!

Wow, that must have been a temperature shock for you!

My wife entered the USA on Sept 6 without any problems other than a delay at Chicago O'Hare. Her first order of business has been to clean/organize our home the way SHE likes. I thought she was supposed to get her green card in a few days, but they told her at POE that it would be about 2 or 3 months?

And haha, once I arrived in the US, I cleaned up my husband's apartment as well ;)

And getting the green card within a few days is very rare. Most people get it within the first month. Sometimes, it takes much longer. I think it depends on what POE you go through and how fast they send the envelope to USCIS to process.

But honestly, don't worry at all about the green card. She really doesn't need it as the stamp in her passport will act as a temporary green card for up to a year. Only once like 10+ months pass, then you should start to worry. Although I've never seen it take that long!

Congrats to KLS2010 and Burebista's wife for successful POEs! Part of me wishes my hubby was here to clean mine, but then I'd flip out on him cause he put things where I couldn't find them. :lol: He already knows not to touch the Perfume Table. :P
