i got approved 4/29/2011 .....how long untill i get my appoinment...recieved noa2 by mail 5/5/2011..i wonder if nvc received my casae now..should it take more then a month untill my interview..???

You shouldn't be worrying about the interview right now. That won't be for a few months from now. Right now, you should read the guides as you have to submit 2 packages at NVC. Please go to the first post in this thread. VJ user Jim Brown copied and pasted some links and info that I posted in the April NVC thread. Please read these guides and familiarize yourself with the NVC process.

Oh yeah, I'm WAY ready to go. I figure if I've got time to complain publicly about how long USCIS/NVC are, I also have time to get all my documents ready. :innocent:

What makes me laugh is when I see posts from people who get approved by USCIS, then post "Now what's the next step?" :bonk: I have the NVC steps memorized. Being OCD does have its advantages.

Good! I love hearing when people actually read the guides and have everything prepared once they get to NVC. I was OCD about the process too, and while I was waiting for our NOA2, I went over the guides again and again. That's probably why I know so much about this process by now laughing.gif Instead of wasting time complaining during the 5 months of waiting for the NOA2, I spent my time much better (I think) getting myself ready for the next process yes.gif

I thought I had all my ducks in a row too, then in ran into multiple issues.

First, we filed taxes in London in order to get an ITIN for her, and since we handed the stuff over in person I forgot to make a copy, so had to have her send a signed copy of 10-40.

Second, I left behind documents for her for 'evidence' at the interview, but also left in the pile some of the AOS documents. She's sending those back now, along with DS3032.

Third, now that I got our case #, despite having read these forums and guides 209340823 times (exactly), I still had a giant sense of: "Okay, what now?!" Go figure.

If you haven't called NVC today, do so! We have the same receipt dates, and my case # ended in 005, so you could be #4 or #6 even! I'm sure they've scanned more in by now.

laughing.giflaughing.giflaughing.gif That's a lot of times! I know I spend many hours on VJ each day, but I think you have me beat :P

Oh, and my number ended in 007. I was a Bond girl! :D

well probably not ;-) cause there's one thing we left out that we didn't have ready yet, so I am planning on getting an RFE in a week, then submitting it immediately (we should be getting it early next week) and THEN CC. I know it's a bit risky, but I wanted them to begin reviewing it rather than sit here doing nothing for a week THEN start. Hopefully it'll be ready to close right after we submit it. Wouldnt' it be funny if they just closed the case anyway?? ha ha ha (yeah right, I wish!)

Oh well then :P As soon as they get your response, I would think it would be about a week or so then CC. It would definitely be hilarious if they closed your case without issuing an RFE. Can I ask what was the document you didn't send in?

Hi Saylin,

Guess what? Got an RFE for my birth certificate. Defenately Tthe US Immigration officers have a problem with the multi-lingual official documents that exist since they were validated by the Vienna Convention on September 8, 1976. I'm so tired of this mess. I'm sure they do it on purpose :bonk:

You're kidding! I would call up NVC, ask to speak with a supervisor, and see if they can do something for you. This is getting ridiculous headbonk.gif

I spoke to an operator, guided him through the birth certificate, he saw the English translation before I got to that line while reeding it together. He told me he was going to submit it to a supervisor.

Now each time I see an email from immigration I start laughing before opening it. This is such a nonsense.:bonk:

Let's hope they fix this ridiculous RFE quickly. If I were you, I'd be laughing too with each email. Do these officers not know how to properly review packages?!

I wish the NVC would stop harassing you! I understand the laughing at all the emails... when all was said and done I got 6 "fake" RFEs and part of me is still worried that they gave me a "fake" CC just to mess with me!

I had my husband send it the choice of agent email yesterday and he got a response this morning letting him know that they are not ready for the DS3032 and will let us know when they are. So my husband asks me if he should be sending them this email everyday kind of like what I did when VSC left us waiting for 6 months + for an approval (I was sending them like 30 emails per day and got a response right away  ). I was like, hmmmmm, maybe not.

The best thing to do is wait for them to let us know they are ready to receive the COA, correct?

My Case Timeline (I-130)

Yes, don't be sending the DS-3032 everyday. Wait until you get the initial information package from NVC with case number, IIN, and an expired DS-3032. Then your husband should re-send the DS-3032 by email. It should be accepted that time :)
